Purchasing a phone with a "Bad IMEI"
I am interested in purchasing an iPhone 12 mini from eBay, but it's labeled as "Bad IMEI". Is TMobile able to rectify it at all if I buy it? Will this be a problem?
probably would depend on why. reported as lost/stolen? doubtful. if it was never paid off you might be able to pay it fully off but its all going to depend on what has it blacklisted.
Is there an easy way to find out why a phone was blacklisted before I buy it?
If you have the imei number you can run it through Tmobile’s or Swappa’s imei checker.
I wouldn't recommend buying any device listed as having a bad IMEI.
