T mobile Magenta Portal has taken over my Chrome browser
My Chrome icon on my Samsung phone has been taken over by something called Magenta Portal. Chrome icon no longer shows up by itself, but shows as a little icon within a larger Tmobile Magenta Portal icon. I cant find Magenta Portal in my apps to delete. I can find Chrome, in my apps but not an option to delete Chrome such that I could reload it without it being poisoned by Magenta Portal.
How do I get rid of the Magenta Portal stuff. BTW, I have had T mobile plan for years, and have not switched recently to their Magenta plan.

When you open Chrome go to settings in the upper right corner. Scroll down to homepage. If t-mobile is selected, change to Google for homepage.

Get to settings via the three vertical dots in upper right hand corner when you open Chrome.

On the main screen? The one in the app drawer is fine?
If yes you can delete the one on the main screen. Its just a widget bookmark you created accidently.

This does not work. To not provide an opt-out is a bad move by t-mobile. I will uninstall or disable Chrome if allowed. Behavior like this is why I use Firefox as my default browser. Buh-bye Chrome.

Have you tried uninstalling the Chrome updates to see if that reverts it? You can always install them again.
