Tmobile Visual Voicemail mutes ringer once message finishes playing in the app - only when phone is on do not disturb
Problema: When phone is in do not disturb mode, visual voicemail mutes ringer once a message has been played.
If phone is NOT in do not disturb mode, this does not occur.
Issue has been happening since ownership of new phone (2 years ago).
This did not happen on my previous phone, a Galaxy S7.

Do Not Disturb Settings: ON, Allow contacts only and all messages, Repeat caller OFF, Alarms and Sounds all on but touch sounds.
Buzón de voz: TMobile Version 5.37.8.83571 all app permissions requested are granted.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled app - no change
Have no desire to disable do not call feature as I do not want the spam calls (7 to 8 a day) ringing through
Haven't found a solution online. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

UPDATE 2:
Issue still persists (metro PCS or Tmobile voicemail apps) on my wifes phone:
Galaxy S22+
Model SM-S906U
Android 13
Discovering it has to do with do not disturb permissions.
If you have do not disturb turned on, voicemail app requires "do not disturb permission" to be turned on. However, if you turn it on, and have the phone in do not disturb mode, the app silences the phone once the message is done playing.

ACTUALIZACIÓN:
I have it working properly by switching apps.
I uninstalled the Tmobile visual voicemail app.
I then installed the Visual Voice Mail by MetroPCS app (since it's under Tmobile). Version: 6.3738.93818
I no longer have the issue using MetroPCS app.
Hopefully Tmobile engineers will look at this thread and find out why their app is doing this. Just please don't mess with the MetroPCS voicemail app.
