What are the exact methods to verify eligibility for Magenta 55+ plans in-store?

Besides age of verification via government ID, is there any other required methods to verify eligibility when visiting a nearby T-Mobile location?

Appears only valid government-issued IDs are required.

¿Quién es elegible para este plan?

New and existing T-Mobile customers who are 55 years of age or older are eligible. Para recibir este descuento, se requiere documento que certifique la edad.

You can sign up by visiting your local T-Mobile store with a government-issued ID, by calling 1-800-T-MOBILE, or by visiting T-Mobile.com.

As much as I hate to acknowledge it, I was eligible for the geezer discount.  I never even mentioned it to the young lady assisting me porting my Verizon number over to t-mobile.  The only ID I gave her was my California D/L.  It was all done automatically I guess, the system recognized my age and I am paying $50.00 a month.  Such a deal compared to Verizon.
