S22 Ultra not showing up in trade in list
I'm trying to trade in my S22 ultra 5G for a new phone. Ever since the update, I have no service where I should have it and I'm over it. When I type in my IMEI, it takes me to a screen to type in my model number, but the S22 ultra 5G doesn't show up in the list. My model number is SM-S908U1. How am I supposed to trade in my phone if it doesn't show up in the list? Is that model number popping up for anyone else?
I bought my S22 from Samsung directly. I googled the S22 ultra model number and that is what comes up. It shouldn't matter where I bought it from, a model number is a model number.

The model number is in the About Phone. Samsung sells U and U1 devices and there are also W devices with the same model number. The U, U1, and W are just the firmware version but the hardware is the same. When you put the IMEI in, the system should know the model number and give you that choice to select.
Is your device fully paid off? If you purchased it from Samsung directly or a third party retailer. The website might not be identifying it correctly.
OMG, this is ridiculous! C'mon T Mobile. I bought Samsung S22 Ultra from Samsung in December 2022. It is registered with Tmobile. Now all of a sudden, "my device" section of the Tmobile APP and online shows my IMEI (which is the correct IMEI on my physical phone) as an IPHONE 11!!! . I've now called and chatted with tmobile twice and they act like they've never heard of this before. In addition, if I go through the trade in steps to get the value of the S22, I get stuck. Why? because tmobile has my IMEI listed as an IPHONE. I have NEVER owned an IPHONE on my line. Also, during trade in steps, I select to trade in a different phone, select Samsung, when I search my model number, my model number is NOT LISTED. UGH. I've been with TM for 15 years...c'mon!!!
