Data Roaming while still at home?

My phone has been displaying "roaming" for the past couple days instead of the usual T-Mobile connection, even though I have not left my house let alone left my own state. I haven't traveled internationally in years so that wouldn't be caused by that either. I have exhausted all of my options in terms of troubleshooting to trying and fix it, but it is perpetually stuck in that roaming status. I have tried reseting my network settings, rebooting my phone, changing cellular settings, and pretty much everything you cam think of. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I would really love to return to my normal service since I rely heavily on my data for Internet access!

My phone was showing "roaming" today, also.  I checked and sure enough I was connected to AT&T towers.  I called 611 and spoke with Valerie (North American support by the way) and she said they were aware of a problem and were working on it.  She also told me T-mobile doesn't charge for domestic roaming, that was my main concern since I was at home and not roaming and didn't want to be charged extra.  1 year later since I ported out of Verizon, and I'm still pleased as punch with T-mobile.

You need to get tech support.  Either 611, or dial the T-Mobile support line 1-800-937-8997

If you have data/wifi, use the T-Mobile app, or social media.

It’s possible that a local tower is down, and you’re effectively roaming.
