International Roaming on or off??
My son is traveling in the Mediterranean on a Navy Supply ship. It's not a cruise ship with it's own network. He could pick up different countries as he goes, but let's say Greece and Italy. Both of them are in the 215 country list. He has the Global Plus 15 GB travel plan that should be 15 GB data and unlimited calls and text messages. Does Data Roaming have to be on or off? I've gotten multiple different answers when calling T-Mobile! Very frustrating! Thank you for the help!
Roaming needs to be enabled for the device to connect to non-T-Mobile USA cellular networks.
Check out this thread. It appears there is a profile setting that will prevent T-Mobile users from connecting to a non-partner tower. The setting is not on your phone. It's in your account profile online.
