why is the internet down?
My router has signal but does not have internet. Everything in the house has lost internet. I have rebooted to router and it connects and says the signal is good. Everything says it has connection to the router but still no Internet all of a sudden
Also, how do we get help from the actual company we pay for service? Is this really their "tech support" just leave us to answer each other's problems and not pitch in to help the people they charge $$ every month?
@MikeGebhard, a few questions first to understand your setup.
Do you have a wifi router that is attached to your TM gateway, or do devices connect directly to your gateway?
If they attach directly to your gateway, do you see your SSID (my home internet) wifi network on your devices like phones, tablets and TVs?
You should be able to configure your gateway and then restart it and then go to your devices and see your gateway network/SSID name to connect.
As for your last question, you can always call the TM customer support line at 1-800-937-8997.

Have you tried directly connecting to the gateway wired and wirelessly to see if you can access the internet? Have you tried rebooting the gateway and then rebooting your router once the gateway is done rebooting?
