When I joined T-Mobile, I signed a contract that binds me to their regulations. It seems that contract is one way, and only applies to me, not T-Mobile. The removal of the $5 auto-pay discount using a credit card is a breach of contract on T-Mobile's part. This company is regularly hacked. Do you really think I want to leave my banking info on their site? Besides, my credit card gives me perks for paying my cell phone bill, helping me bring the outrageously high price we pay for a so-so service. We have used T-Mobile as our cell provider for many years and have our account auto pay monthly on a credit card. Today we got a text that T-Mobile will no longer offer its $10 per month savings when you auto pay unless you remove your credit card and pay by electronic check or debit card. Auto pay benefits T-Mobile the most, letting it get timely monthly payments and avoiding the big cost of chasing delinquent payments. We use our United Airlines Visa to auto pay now, which also is a partner with T-Mobile. Besides complaining to T-Mobile, I will complain to United Airlines, who wants me to use my credit card. This is a TERRIBLE business decision, T-Mobile. My business takes credit cards and does not penalize its customers. Who is with me in complaining to T-Mobile?1.6KViews0likes4ComentariosAutoPay Change Causes Us to Lose Phone Insurance Benefits
By forcing autopay users to pay with a bank account or debit card we are going to lose the phone insurance provided by our credit cards. In my case I get a $40/month autopay discount. So I have to choose between an extra $480/year or the phone insurance on my credit card. I understand that credit card processing is more expensive than bank or debit, and I'd be happy to pay an extra 3% of my balance to pay by credit card (and thereby keep my credit card insurance benefits), but $40/month is extortionary. Can T-Mobile please reconsider this policy, and perhaps keep the autopay by credit card option for a small surcharge instead of the $40/month that I'd have to pay? I signed up for the Magenta 55+ with 3 lines. All the online pricing quotes show final price of $120 and then $105 with $15 autopay applied (3 lines @ $5 each). In store it was confirmed. The next day, after signup, I log onto T-Mobile and the pricing show $110 ($120-$10 autopay discount). I called the T-Mobile store and representative that help me signup confirmed should be $105 and I should wait for the bill to see if it changes. I was in the store again today and the store manager confirmed should be $105 with $15 discount not $10. She mentioned she had never seen that happen before. She also suggested waiting until the bill is generated. So, I get home and receive a text message that the bill is available and as expected Total Due $110 (not $105) including a $10 autopay discount. Account shows 3 active lines being charged: 2 Lines $70 and 3rd Line $40.Solved574Visto0likes9ComentariosSetting up "Bank Account" as an Auto payment menthod
Hi There, I am not sure if anybody has/had encountered this issue before and I would appreciate any advice/recommendation regarding this issue tat i am haivng. As you may be aware, in order to qualify forauto pay discount (based on plan, you may qualify for auto pay discount $5 per line), you would need to use either DEBIT card or Bank Payment as your default payment method for Auto pay. Now i had enrolled for auto payment with my back payment method but for some reason, transcation was declined due bank was not able to clear the payment for some reason (Not that i did not have money in the account but for some technical reason it got rejected from the bank side when T-Mobile tried to process the due amount by using the bank). Due to that, I can't now use that method (It's greyed out and it says, you are not allowed to use this method anymore). So, I tried calling customer care multiple times and explained this and mentioned that I would like to use different bank for to make payments (Auto enroll) so that i can get Auto pay discount per line. I have 8 lines in my account and you are looking at $40 per month saving. But, customer representative were not a tall helpful. I was being told that system put a block on that method and I then mentioned , can you help me to remove that block or escalate it technical department or relavent department that i can speak with so that i can use bank payment method. I dont have debit card but representative was " you would need to use Debit card and if you dont then use someone else debit card, may be ask around friends, and other family members" .😧. I am not sure, who to reach out for this issue. Any help, i would appreciate that!298Visto0likes0ComentariosAutopay discount with checking account not showing
Because I had autopay set up with a credit card, it was showing my next bill at a higher rate. I've since changed my autopay to use a checking account, but the amount showng for the August bill has not changed. Maybe that will take a day or two to show205Visto0likes3ComentariosPayment from Savings Account OK?
Can I auto-pay my monthly T-Mobile bill from my bank savings account? The T-Mobile policy states that either a bank checking or savings is acceptable. However, while I was able to successfully setup my savings account for payment, T-Mobile could not withdraw my bill from my savings account. After encountering T-Mobile late fees and losing my auto-pay discount, I successfully setup my checking account for payment and was able to make a payment. I use my savings account to successfully make payment to other vendors and I have spoken with my bank to ensure that they haven't recently implemented additional security procedures and they have not. Spoke with T-Mobile customer service and explained my experience. They said they'd dig into what was causing the issue further and would get back to me later that day or the next. I haven't heard from them and really don't expect to. Is this issue particular to me or are there others who have experience the same? If no resolution, I'll simply need to direct my payment to be withdrawn from checking account. Gracias.199Visto0likes2ComentariosComplaint about Autopay CC vs Debit
This missive is just to let you know how poor of a decision it was to require a debit card for autopay. I did not even have a debit card. Well, now I have one for the first time in my decades long credit card usage and I am highly irritated. I was going to expand my T-Mobile portfolio but I am halting this transition from Verizon. Much ill will is flowing to T-Mobile now. Too bad.184Visto3likes5Comentarios
