The utter and abject failure of my encounter with T- Mobile support of the Cellular option provided by Apple Watches. Original problem: Lost the ability, that originally worked, to make or receive cellular VOICE calls when out of range of cell phone, or when cell phone was turned off….. EVEN THOUGH I was still on the T-Mobile LTE network and had the use of text and GPS. After working with T-Mobile tech, I lost the ability to add a cellular plan to watch (getting Error code 406.) The watch works as normal, when able to go thru the cellular phone. But without being able to use the phone as a conduit, the calls always fail. Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max / Apple Watch Series 7 / All with current software Two hours on the phone with T-Mobile Front end and backend support 4/3 Two hours at a T-Mobile store with representative and backend support 4/4 Two hours at the Apple Store ALL WITH NO ONE WITH ANY CLUE WHAT WAS WRONG Apple sent my Apple Watch off to the regional repair location 4/5 New replacement Apple Watch Series 7 with Cellular received Problem persists on new watch Another 3 hours on phone with T-Mobile backend support New error in addition to old problem T-Mobile error "The maximum number of devices allowed to be paired to this phone has been reached. To continue you will need to unpair a device."Error code 406" T-Mobile representative was unable to figure this out …… Back on the phone to Apple L2/L3support… confirms message is referencing T-Mobile configuration or processes. Another call to T-Mobile T-Mobile backend support unable to make any inroads toward a solution, advised they are sending me out a new cellular phone. My cellular phone has consistently been the only thing working properly, so I am hesitant to change anything with that regard. THIS HAS BEEN AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. I love Apple products, but their partnership with T-Mobile is a ghastly abomination of inadequate training or processes that are too complicatedfor their employees…. It's been a week since my ordeal began, and there is no end in sight… My advice, STAY AWAY FROM T-MOBILES implementation of the cellular capabilities of Apples watches. We have had T Mobile WiFi for a while now. We noticed that our AT&T cell booster is not working with it. AT&T sent us a new one and it has the same problem. I sat through the most useless phone call with T Mobile support that insisted the router is fine. So we gave up. I tried Starlink for a month and what do you know? The booster worked perfectly. So that tells me there is an issue on T Mobiles end. They told me all the ports are open so I am at a loss here. Curious if anyone has dealt with this yet? For the past week to 10 days (Today is 8-24-22) T-Mobile Internet has been a waste of money….I believe they are messing with the tower configurations in my area...I use to get 100Mbps Download speed and now they are only mustering up a piddly 17-20Mbps. When will you guys get things back to normal?? Up until a week or so ago I use to connect to T-Mobile Tower MCC 310, MNC 260, Region 31695, Tower894300, Cell 228940863 at MINIMUM and Consistent Speed of 50-75Mbps Download at a 5G Extended Signal Band 71. NOW I can ONLY connect to T-Mobile Tower MCC 310, MNC 260, Region 31695, Tower 73303, Cell 18765571at MAXIMUMand NON-Consistent Speed of 17-20Mbps Download at a 4GLTESignal Band 2. This goes for ALL MY T-Mobile Devices...Home Internet Gateway AND TWO (2) Cell Phones...Magenta Plan. I signed up for and switch over to T-Mobile about 2 Months ago and now this crud. What The Heck Are You Guys Doing And Why Taking So Long? Is This Permanent? Let's Get It Fixed! Otherwise I am raising cain with billing and not paying for this stuff...Better Business Bureau also gets T-Mobiles attention for all others seeing this same poor service now. I need to upgrade my Apple Watch, and due to near-future plans,I know I will need theLTE bands from an international model more than I need the unique US model ones now. However, it would be nice to upgrade now and use it in here in the meanwhile. I realize I will be missing one of the extended range LTE T-Mobile bands, but I don't think that will affect me much. Anyway, the question is, has anybody activated (or does anyone know if T-Mobile will allow us to)an international model Apple Watchon a watch line? I had been getting great signal and cell service at my home till July 1, 2022.. After that I lose internet at times, some text messages go through some dont but I never know which ones do. Sometimes I cant make phone calls and sometimes I cannot receive calls. I have talked to customerservice and updates were needed at the tower. So my question, is 7 months a long time to climb a tower and fix a problem? I only have this issue at my house and I can see the tower from my backyard. I have to switch the phone from 5g to LTE to 5g to make it work, somtimes. I've been a customer for about 20 years and I ready to switch providers overthis issue. I'm in Oxford Michigan any looking for an answer or for someone who can fix a tower. YouTube doesnt have any tutorials on cell tower repair. I have a very strange issue since last night. I am not able to connect to Netflix app, Prime video app, Ring app, etc from my phone (and my wife's phone)via Home Internet or Tmobile cellular. However, I have no issue connecting to YouTube app and many other apps. Also, I can login to Netflix and Prime video via my phone's browser. To make it even more confusing….When I connect my phone to my friend's home wifi (Spectrum customer), I have no issues connecting to Netflix, Prime Video, etc. Also, none of my amazon devices (echo, fireTV, etc) have internet access since last night. I connected these devices directly to the Gateway. i rebooted the gateway and my devices many times….still have the issue> I am completely lost…. Any idea? Recently switched to T-Mobile. Have an iPad with a virtual sim (tried a couple of different sims) and cannot connect to Facetime. Keep getting an error and cant connect to apple id for using facetime while on cellular.
