Unable to connect prime video and netflix but able to connect to YouTube

I have a very strange issue since last night.

I am not able to connect to Netflix app, Prime video app, Ring app, etc from my phone (and my wife's phone) via Home Internet or Tmobile cellular.  However, I have no issue connecting to YouTube app and many other apps.  Also, I can login to Netflix and Prime video via my phone's browser.

To make it even more confusing….When I connect my phone to my friend’s home wifi (Spectrum customer), I have no issues connecting to Netflix, Prime Video, etc.

Also, none of my amazon devices (echo, fireTV, etc) have internet access since last night.  I connected these devices directly to the Gateway.

i rebooted the gateway and my devices many times….still have the issue>

I am completely lost….

Any idea?

Gracias

I have the exact same issue. Seems to have issues with certain apps/sites. I called T-Mobile and they advised theirs an issue with the cell tower and they are working on the issue.

It's just started to work for me now at 10am PST 11-10-2022. You can check it out. I hope it's resolved for you too.

I have the same issue with you.  Netflix and Prime video not working on my Samsung TV.  My Insignia Amazon TV connects to the gateway and said "No internet".  I guess we need to call the support.

  • i have zero issues for either Hulu, Netflix, Disney or any other streaming app. this is all via mobile data and not their home net.

Same issue here! All FireStick devices are displaying no internet connection. Started since yesterday :( certain websites are very slow or don't log in as well.

  • I'm having the same issue. It started yesterday for me. What's strange is that Netflix sees that I'm trying to log in (I went to their tech support first). So far, my home Internet has acted funny. Sometimes it's perfect. Runs smoothly, quickly, etc. But with certain websites sometimes, it just doesn't connect. It's also only on certain devices. Neither my Xbox or Fire TV will connect, but my phone and laptop will

  • With Quad9s for DNS here is what I obtain for DNS info:

    myLaptop ~ % nslookup netflix.com

    Server: 9.9.9.9

    Address: 9.9.9.9#53

    Non-authoritative answer:

    Name: netflix.com

    Address: 52.3.144.142

    Name: netflix.com

    Address: 54.237.226.164

    Name: netflix.com

    Address: 3.230.129.93

It is working and streaming is not a problem here in east TN. Just curious if the nslookup is working for those who have had issues with the streaming failure. I suspect it might be a port blocking issue from a mistake in the T-Mobile port filtering but last time my MacBook Pro reported no internet I changed the DNS to 9.9.9.9 and I have had not seen the problem again. Might be a coincidence but I am not sure.
