12 TopicsDo I seriously have to pay for service I have never used?
On February 25th 2020, I had established, via online, BYOD service for two lines for the 55+ plan. I only ordered two SIM cards (nothing else) at $10 each. Then, I get the order status, and I noticed I was charged $61.12. That did not sit well with me so when the UPS guy arrived on February 28th, I refused the package of the two SIM cards, and they were returned to sender (T-Mobile). A few days later, I get a bill in the amount of $66.87. I called T-Mobile and the rep informed me that the bill is for service and that I have to pay it. I told the rep to cancel everything and that I should not be charged for something I have not used. How could I have even used service, I never took possession of the SIM cards in the first place. T-Mobile has already obtained $61.12 out of me for the two SIM cards. T-Mobile should not get any money out of me for service I have never used. As I see it, It would be fraudulent to make me pay for something I have not used. Here, I don't even know what I'm all being charged for. I was charged for two SIM cards $10 each so what did the unmentioned $40 go toward?Solved6.7KViews0likes9ComentariosAnyone else experienced a PAID line being added to their account without your authorization, and then had issues with T-Mobile when trying to remove the added line and get a refund?
Upgraded and bought a new iPhone in a T-Mobile store on 04/22/2022 - I am unfortanely just now noticing after reviewing my yearly reports for tax season approaching, that there was a data line added to my services/bill on the same day, for an apple watch?! The charge was insignificant in cost enough for me to never notice too much of a difference, and the sales representative in the store explained to me the new bill amount and an increase being due to the monthly amount I would be charged for the iPhone payment plan option to pay month for a phone instead of paying in full. I am now trying to have the line removed but the customer service dept. has only tried to tell me I am wrong and that I activated this on my own MONTHS prior to 4/22/22, which is so far from true. I have only ever used my apple watch on wifi/connected to my phone via bluetooth. After reviewing my usuage overview for 2022, each month shows the additional line and every month has 0.00GB of data used. I found this information through my t-mobile account but yet the customer service reps I've spoken to (which has been several now) all seem incompentent and unable to find similar information to show that this change was unauthorized. In addition, the representatives only focus seems to be on conversion or a new sale, rather than doing actual customer service. What happens to customer service??? Anyone had similar experiences? What did you have to do to get T-Mobile to cooperate and help? Do I need to file claim with the Better Business Bureau you think? Anyone filed with the BBB before, and if so, did you have any good results from it? I just want a line removed and something credited to my account for the near year I have paid for a service I never signed up for or authorized, and it seems impossible.1.1KViews0likes10ComentariosImplementación
Hello, I am a veteran and my husband is active duty. He is deploying soon and we have the magenta military plan. While at sea, will there be any chances we would be charged for texts/calls or using data if it's within the parameters of the 5GB or using Wi-Fi? or is there anything we need to know of to make sure we will not get a huge bill on our plan? Should we let t-mobile know he is deploying so they know and wont try to shut his phone off for whatever reason? Any information would be helpful so we wont get blind sided.360Visto0likes1ComentarioI have been charged for unreceived messages
I'm using T-Mobile Legacy Pay As You Go with Gold Rewards account. I recently checked My Account > Line details > View Your Usage, and noticed I have been charged for undelivered messages almost everyday! The caller's numbers are on my phone's block list (Galaxy S10+) and the messages were not displayed in my phone at all. I called prepaid customer center. I was was told that it was technical issue and they will update me after investigation and refund the amount. I have waited for 2 weeks now, but no contact from T-Mobile yet... Is this known issue? Did anybody have the same problem?223Visto0likes6ComentariosLegacy Pay As You Go Mysterious Random Outgoing SMS Messaging Charges
I am one of those who still have the legacy Pay As You Go. It is not my primary number but I keep it since I like the number. So, I almost never use it. I keep about $10 in it. Today I was trying to make a phone call and it said I did not have enough money. I checked my account and it was at 0 balance. If I look under Line Details → View Your Usage, it says "No records found." I left the Billing Cycle filter out. However, at one point, I got to the Transaction History screen (can't find my way back now), it had a bunch of "DomesticUsage", Outgoing, Usage Type: Message charges. It seems they are on random days and most were 0.10. The online rep: said that this meant I sent texts on those days said they did not keep records on which numbers the texts were sent to would not believe me when I told her I did not tried to sell me a monthly plan 😂 It seems others might have this problem too: https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/158dw8l/my_mom_has_a_legacy_payasyougo_prepaid_plan_but/ and I have had an episode with them a few years ago that made me not trust their billing system. I ended up asking the Rep to disable incoming and outgoing texts and put more money in. Beware!199Visto0likes1ComentarioMisled twice causes financial hardship
I accompanied my son's fiancée to transfer my sons phone to her account from my account. The lady told her she could upgrade his pixel phone to the newer generation for $100. So she paid for it. Then she told us her bill would not go up at all for adding the extra line. August 5, 2022 Then she got a bill for double what she was paying $240. and on it showed a new pixel phone for $550. She returned to the store and talked to the same lady who said it was an error and she would fix it. She told her it had created a financial hardship and if there was an increase and charge for the phone they would have kept the phone and not make any changes.September 2022. Next bill same issue so she went back and someone told her to ignore the new phone charge that it wasn't a charge just a note on the bill. She asked them to take it off but they said it was just a record. Because the bill did not reduce, they could no longer afford it, so today 10.15.22 I met her at the T mobile store I go to and transferred their numbers to our plan. They did the transfer wrong the first time and had to redo it. I was charged for two transfer fees instead of one. Then I got an email for a document-sign and it was for the Pixel phone we were told was already paid for with the $100. In August. Needless to say, we were greatly misled and we don't know how to solve the issue with this phone. If they would have told us there was a huge charge for the phone shewould not have done it. They took away herchoice at that time. We need to get this resolved ASAP since they are basically holding it over us and if not okayed in 48 hours they will suspend the two recently added lines to our account. The accountabilitylies with T mobile store not us.152Visto0likes2ComentariosPLEASE IF YOU HAVE MOVED CHECK YOUR BILLS
This had been a crazy week. I reached out to T-Mobile on 2/6/24 to discuss why my bill was still rising after I removed a line and also removed a device protection from one of my lines. upon reviewing my bill, I noticed that they had taxes and fees for two addresses. Now this wouldn't be an issue if I hadn't updated my address upon moving to my new home, but I did. I learned that T-Mobile has been charging me an extra 33.34 every month for the past 4 years and 7 months which kind of totals up to 18 hundred and change. After speaking to them and disputing the charges they called me today on 2/9/24 and said that it was nothing they could do because some of the lines were still registered at my old address. Now the main issue is that the lines associated with my old address are all minors. However, I'm the account holder and every device has been shipped to my current home how is this possible? To tell me after 7 years of being a customer that there is nothing that can be done is absurd. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. T-Mobile should be held accountable and not allowed to overcharge their customers.Solved101Visto0likes3Comentarioshorrible customer service
I canceled my home internet service on January 13 and they had charged me on January 1st. However, they charged me again on February 1st. I called to get a refund because why would they charge me for a whole month i didn't use their service for. They said Icouldn't get a refund immediately until the 12th. Iasked them why and they said a new bill had to generate and start the refund process. Why can't they just send me a refund on the same day just like they took my moneyfor a whole month i didn't use at all???i want my refund immediately!!! or i will call the bank and report thischarge!!I've had various problems with their customer service this is why i canceled.67Visto0likes1Comentario
