I am trying to purchase a phone upgrade and have added my selection to my cart. At checkout I get the message "We couldn't process your payment" as shown in the attached photo. This is a confirmed issue with T-Mobile. I have made purchases with this card just prior to and after making the purchase attempt from T-Mobile.Attempts by both web and via the app give the same message My card has no holds, denied charges, and over 20k in available credit. All confirmed by calling my Capital One Venture X card support Capital One showed that an attempt was made by T-Mobile for $0 though the due amount shown at checkout is $120. Clearly a disconnect between the checkout page and the charge requested by T-Mobile Yes, I can use a different card though the Venture X offers Phone insurance if the phones are purchased with it. Also, in looking at posts from a year ago similar issues were reported with different cards. I called T-mobile support and they offered to try to process with a representative, however that would cancel some of the benefits of purchasing online as promoted by T-Mobile. example - $35 fee cancelation per phone upgraded and the way the phone credit is distributed to be applied completely to the upgraded phone cost.76Visto0likes0ComentariosT-mobile removing autopay discount for credit cards
This is terrible. I feel discriminated, I do not have a bank account and I am not open to have a debit card at all, I use my available cash for food and medicines only, the rest I pay with credit card, I was offered the discount for enrolling/using my card in autopay and I agreed to that deal years ago, I have not broken my autopay agreement, this should not be taken away. I have had my account for decades and have never been late on any payments, have used my card with no issues. Plus, my credit card gives me insurance on my phones, Is T-Mobile going to give us all free insurance?I am scared to use a bank or any debit card with this hacking technology that we live in now days,it is also known that T-Mobile has had security breaches. This is illegal Please help. I don't know if the BBB or FCC or FTC or the CFPB can help us. forcing consumers into making personal financial changes is not acceptable.117Visto0likes3ComentariosAUTOPAY with Credit cards
Here's my question and i think I'll call my local congressman and or congresswoman. T-Mobile has removed the auto-pay discountfeature if you choose to pay with a credit card in lieu of a debit card. Their reasoning is the charge that CC companies charge a fee. That fee is like 3.5% maybe and that may be on the high side and that is the full percentage cost for a one-time charge. So my bill is about $120 with the 3.5% fee would be $4.20. With T-Mobile's plan they are NOW CHARGING ME an extra $20 a month because i choose not to link my bank account to pay my bill. How is this even FAIR? THIS IS EXTORTION! I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO CALL YOUR LOCAL LEGISLATURES AND INFORM THEM OF THIS HIWAY ROBBERY THAT IS GOING ON WITH T-MOBILE.4.8KViews0likes7ComentariosWhy are we being penalized suddenly for paying with a credit card?
I have been with T-Mobile andhave used my credit card with autopayfor 5 years. Now all of the sudden I am being charged a $5 fee every month even though I'm enrolled in autopay just because I prefer to use a credit card!? This is ridiculous. I don't use my debit card for anything and I'm not going to just because T-Mobile wants me to for whatever stupid reason. Honestly, this pisses me off so much that this the first time in years that I'm seriously considering switching to another carrier.3.6KViews4likes14ComentariosWhy T-Mobile still charged me after i paid payment arrangement before its due ?
Hi ! So, I setup a payment arrangement and then I paid the first, half before the due date and TMOBILE still charged me ? Does the company not understand that people are living paycheck-to-paycheck. Life happens ! Having a phone is mandatory in today's world because every service demands it ? ANYWAYS!!! I did call customer service and the repsaid " it's best not to make partial payments /pay anything , if you set up a payment plan because the system will not cancel it. " And THEY DID NOT REFUND ME EITHER FOR THE DOUBLE CHARGE. They just applied it to what I owed. Mad slick . Then also, Even tho I put a block on TMOBILE they still somehow got around and finesse their way to double charge me. I remember when , any payment made would cancel a payment arrangement.266Visto0likes0ComentariosAutoPay Change Causes Us to Lose Phone Insurance Benefits
By forcing autopay users to pay with a bank account or debit card we are going to lose the phone insurance provided by our credit cards. In my case I get a $40/month autopay discount. So I have to choose between an extra $480/year or the phone insurance on my credit card. I understand that credit card processing is more expensive than bank or debit, and I'd be happy to pay an extra 3% of my balance to pay by credit card (and thereby keep my credit card insurance benefits), but $40/month is extortionary. Can T-Mobile please reconsider this policy, and perhaps keep the autopay by credit card option for a small surcharge instead of the $40/month that I'd have to pay? How is it that the FCC would allow T-mobile to start up-charging their customers if they're using a credit card which provides certain protections against fraud? T-mobile allowed my information to be compromised a year ago and I'm still dealing with the issues every day in the form of scam calls, texts and emails. But now T-mobile wants access to my bank account???!!! Definitely considering changing carriers. That is the most absurd business decision they have made. I believe everyone that had their information stolen because of T-mobile's lack of security should pursue legal action against the company! Defnitely a class action lawsuit viable for their lack of privacy protection and lack of response to the issues experienced by those who were the true victims in this matter.109Visto0likes3Comentarios$10 surcharge for credit card payments
I just saw my first bill without autopay discount for credit card payment. My wife and I are retired and on a fixed income. This $10/month is meaningful to us. I worked in banking for nearly 40 yrs. It can only cost a merchant with T-mobile's volume ~2% for credit card processing. That's less than 2 bucks. We will be shopping alternatives. Shameful!1.1KViews2likes12ComentariosCredit Card payments
T-Mobile eliminating the discount for credit card payments is a REALLY bad business decision. It means T-mobile is struggling financially, and penalizing its customers for it. Bad look T-mobile. Forcing us to give up the credit card payments by penalizing us with eliminating discounts is NOT the right way to go. My credit card offers protections for lost/broken phones which I will not have with other payments. Additionally, I want to be able to have the choice of deciding which payment option I have. Eliminating the discount for credit card payments is not giving us a choice, it is penalizing us for credit card payments. The question is: how much longer is T-mobile going to be financially solvent? Time to start looking at other phone companies. Really sad, T-mobile was such a good company.47Visto1like0Comentariosdisappointed - doing away with the credit card autopay discount.
I am very disappointedthat you are doing away with the credit card autopay discount. As you seem to be concerned with "security" - thats the first thing i see when i login.. I do not own a Debit Card and I don't give out my Bank information. And before anyone says the Credit card companies increased the %.. the increase of credit card fees (based on my bill) would be $9.25.. why then am i losing $20?147Visto4likes4Comentarios
