My phone was stolen in Europe two weeks ago. I got a new phone through the warranty waiting for me at home in the US. So I want to make sure that Find My Phone through theMcAfee Security for T-Mobile service that I am paying for is still working as I setup my replacement phone. I login on my laptom to Mcafee.com and it says that myMcAfee Security for T-Mobile was cancelled. Rats. I call T-Mobile, they confirm it wasn't cancelled. I go to the store so they can look, and the store T-Mobile people confirm that myMcAfee Security for T-Mobile is NOT cancelled. I call Mcafee several times and they say T-Mobile cancelled my subscription. I ask for elevation of the case; nothing. I call back and curse at them; finally, someone from Mcafee calls back and they are elevating it. Are you kidding me? To make it worse, theMcAfee Security for T-Mobile app on my phone says: "if you want to find your phone, click here." Is this real? Am I alive and well, or just a zombie already? Good God. What the heck are we supposed to do? Are we paying for this insanity?14KViews0likes10ComentariosMystery Lines On Your Account
Hi, everyone. T Mobile has decided that they want me to let everyone know they should be checking their account immediately for unrecognized devices, lines, and higher bills. Nobody in our household has iPhones, but just today I was notified about a DIGITS promo that had been incorrectly applied to my account. As it turns out, T Mobile had allowed someone to add a new line and device on to my account without my knowledge. The best part is, they had been using DIGITS for some unknown reason. Perhaps it is to steal my information, perhaps it is to spam people from my phone number. In any case, customer service did remove it from my account right away, but my bill (after adjustment) is yet still $10 higher than it was last month. This kind of security breach must be something I am responsible for. They have so far been completely silent, and I am wondering what it is going to take for them to make this right. I've been a T Mobile customer for about a month now, and every week there is some kind of enormous problem. Regardless of my issues with the company, it would behoove you to double check your plans for new mystery phones that T Mobile has allowed onto them. They won't notify you, but they will bill you for it.9.9KViews5likes18ComentariosNo support for those affected by the 8/2021 data breach?
So today I got a couple of alerts from my credit card companies saying that my SSN was found on the dark web courtesy of the T-Mobile.com hack. While I received an email from T-Mobile lastyear about the hack I did not sign up for the free McAfee credit monitoring offer as I have little confidence in McAfee products in services. Well now that my info has been proven to be leaked I would like to avail of this service as it's probably better than not having it. However it seems as though the offer is no more. I contacted customer service who were intent on installing McAfee Mobile Security on my phone but couldn't grok that I wanted the credit monitoring service, not the crappy software. Is the free service offer still available, does anyone know? Next stop BBB.3.5KViews1like11ComentariosMcAfee alerted me my Social Security # was found as part of TMobile breach
Just got 4 alerts that my SSN was found on the dark web related to T-Mobile breach. This is absolutely ridiculous that we are now put in this position with no recourse. Anyone else experience this, and if so what are the next steps you took to secure yourself.1.3KViews4likes7ComentariosDefunct advice on today's T-Mobile Data Breach page?
Is anyone able to actually sign up for "Account Takeover Protection"? Today's data breach pagesuggests that postpaid customers can enable "Account Takeover Protection" to prevent unauthorized phone number porting: The "See how" link goes to "Account Takeover Protection by T-Mobile" which has a button at the bottom to "Add Account Takeover Protection": That button unfortunately goes to a page that says "This feature is no longer available." Did they seriously not review this when setting up that data breach page?701Visto0likes5ComentariosT-mobile gave my personal account to someone else
I was given my phone and was informed that it was mine to keep and do as I please even make a tmobile online personal account to manage it. I made the personal account in hopes the company had apps for security and games ect I had full access to my account and I started the account using my identification information and personal email. Then I found a data breach in 1 of the credit reports so I contacted T-mobile to find out how to handle the breach the rep said he was unable to login to my account stating that if I wasn't the account holder I wouldn't be able to login and view the billing side of my account mind you I made a personal account using my email and DOB Ect. I logged in and that was months ago even still today I am still able to view the billing side of my account. However T-mobile after the first phone conversation and the first rep congratulating me he said that my account was the first he had ever seen where the company owed the consumer money and not consumer owing T-mobile. Since then T-mobile has yet again allowed or has given out personal identification out to unknown individuals who didn't have my information associated with the phone. So they being T-mobile gave my personal account to some unknown business and stripped me of my account permissions. Your not going to believe why though. Someone deposited funds into my personal account that was made with my email address not some business account with several phone lines under the business account. Which as of now I am actively looking for attorneys to settle this issue but of course the shotty services on my phone now I get alot of dropped calls, web pages time out or just freeze on top of redirects to pages I didn't want in the first place.599Visto0likes2ComentariosBreach of hackers 2021,2022,2023
