dropped calls
14 TopicsWhen merging calls on a forwarded line, original line drops
When I work from home, I forward my office desktop phone to my cell phone (iPhone 11). I can answer incoming calls from the forwarded office phone to my cell phone perfectly fine. However, when I use my iPhone to add a third caller onto the line, the original incoming call (from the forwarded office phone) drops, and I'm left on the line with myself and the 3rd, merged caller. However, the call doesn't display on my iPhone as dropped, but the original caller drops on their end and I can no longer hear them (but the display says I'm on a 3-way call). This doesn't happen every time I try to merge calls, but probably 90% of the time. I have one other coworker who has the issue, and they are also the only other ones on T-Mobile. It's incredibly frustrating, and support has been unhelpful. I even upgraded my iPhone, and the issue carried across. It's also happened across two different residences, so I don't think the phone or service location is the issue. ¿Tienes alguna idea?389Visto1like1ComentarioT-Mobile Won't Credit Me Correctly for My Returned Phone. Help!
I moved two of my AT&T phones over to T-Mobile in March. One of the phones is an iPhone XR. The back of the phone wascracked but the front was flawless. The T-Mobile guy at Sam's Club kioskappraised the return value of the XR at $400. Hetook the IMEI on the phone and logged it on the system. After our new T-Mobile lines were activated, I sent out the XR using the pre-paid UPS package that they sent out. Today, I received an email saying that the IMEI of the quoted device is different from the IMEI of the returned device. The email said: Looks like there was a mix up-the make, model or memory of your quoted device doesn't match what we received or it was damaged. We will adjust your trade-in value to $55 because of this difference. This is so unacceptable and so unfair, because (1) I did not plug in the IMEI in the T-Mobile system. I believe it was a typographical error on the rep's part that he plugged in the wrong number. I remember that when he tried scanning the numberwith his company iPad, he couldn't successfully scan so he typed in the number manually, and; (2) The T-Mobile representative ocularly the device, removed the case and made sure that the screen was not damaged (although the back was). Andhe found it acceptable with the return value of $400. Please note that the T-Mobile website says "The screen on my device is free of cracks (Scratches and scuffs are acceptable)". Again, the screen was flawless. It was the back that was cracked. I am so upset with this that I want to switch back to AT&T. I hope the T-MO people in this chat can offer us some relief for this unfair issue. (And I haven't yet even covered the dropped calls at my residence and place of work!)169Visto0likes0ComentariosT-Mobile Home Internet shows 4 bars but keeps dropping signal
Hi. The last month or so, a problem is occurring - the gateway/modem shows 4 bars and has been sitting there for well over two years now. Randomly, I keep getting disconnected from a game server, remote sessions halt, streaming audio stutters, everything. I also have phone calls (from Samsung S22 Ultra) disconnect on me if the phone is using wifi mode for phone calls. If I disable wifi on the phone, phone calls still remain stable. At least for now. I sometimes still have issues with audio stuttering in regular 5G mode, and even testing a game server I got booted off with an error citing connection loss. Whatever it is, the loss is brief since connection comes back quickly. Speedtest shows low ping and low jitter, which surprised me. I logged into the Admin console. Is there an option to switch from 5G mode to 4G, just to rule out some possible causes of this? That sounds dumb since I have 4 bars on the modem and 5 on my phone (which generally connects to the modem's built-in wifi.) I haven't tested disabling 5G on the phone, but with 5 bars this really seems odd. Why would the phone show more bars and stronger signal strength when it's the smallerof the two devices? I turned the modem ("silver can" in shape) off and unplugged it for 30 minutes. I'd heard this forces a firmware check and upgrade. This did not make a difference. I keep a small fan running by the air inlet on the modem to help prevent overheating. That hasn't helped either. The built-in battery also seems to waver in percentage; always going from 65 to 78%. It used to read 100% in the past. I think that's a separate issue. I am having no power outage issues.Solved4.4KViews2likes20ComentariosWTH is going on with the service?
I keep getting dropped calls, no service, and undeliverable text messages. This is maddening. It happened before but cleared up a couple of weeks later. I'm so frustrated that I'm considering leaving the company. Is anyone else suddenly having these issues? BTW, I'm in Houston. thanks!2.4KViews0likes8ComentariosDrop calls
Why two days before the bill is due calls are dropped. Also messages are withheld on the due date causing major lost communication. I could understand if it is a week late but one day is horrible network service. Tried to call 611 for assistance but it only wants money!120Visto0likes2ComentariosCoverage - what is the plan for my area?
I've been suffering with very poor T-Mobile/Sprint coverage for years in Byron, MN. The cellspot T-Mobile sent me helps me make calls, get data and send text - using my wifi router to provide the connectivity. However, if I leave myhome, my cell phone coverage is very poor. My Verizon work cell phone works great! I've called T-Mobile customer service and have to use my Verizon cell phone to complete the calls! What is the plan to improve coverage in zip code55920 so I can use my cell service without being connected to my cellspot? I'm so frustrated that I am going to switch to Verizonif there is no plan to improve coverage.306Visto0likes11ComentariosDigital Touch Tone vs. Touch Tone
Technology can improve our daily lives and can also complicate them. Going forward at times, can result in going backwards. "If it isn't broke, leave it alone". Touch tone Old technology has a preprogrammed "tone" established, allowing a connection to be heard and passed through with correct information. Newer technology uses thousands of tones associated with 0-9 computer screen connections. " if you would like to receive this call pres 1", by pressing 1, this tone must connect with the exact receiving tone as the outgoing tone. If the tones do not exactly match, you mayfind yourself pressing "Beethoven" vs "Motzart". Your call will not connect if your note does not match the receiving note. How do companies address this issue? After several agents pass the buck, hang up on you and you finally manage an agent without preprogrammed bot mentality, you will discover a claim to their technicians will be processed for further review. Usually a 3 day or week process. Akind agent will brief you upon this expected length, though technically this is a breech in policy, some agents are actually still bread with human decency. A history of incomming lines will be viewed for their tone matching capabilities to rule out whose playing b flat. Once identified a tune up follows. However as with all instruments, those musicians know nothing ever stays perfectly in tune. Going forward can at times mean, your really better off sometimes with one octave than with multiple octaves, as there are less variables of your touch tone being unable to play the exact reciprocating frequencies needed to simply....connect calls. Life is a balance of machine and mankind. Machines are only as good as they are programmed. A good company will never put policy over their paying customers. A company is only as good as its character, not of its policies. Policies are fluid rules needing to bend with the tide of current needs. A company unwilling to address their outdated or unacceptable policies, will find their "product" will never support their character. But quality of Character will always support a product.142Visto0likes1Comentario
