When I first got my gateway it worked ok 6 months now and it sucks so bad I can't play games and half the time my wife can't even watch her shows without it buffing I think TMobile needs to stop making new stuff and fix theyre crappy service when I get another service in dropping this crap24KViews31likes46ComentariosNintendo Switch w/NOK 5G21 Gateway
I was thrilled to change from my previous provider to T-Mobile's internet. The speed is great. The service has been super reliable. Where I'm having trouble is on my Nintendo Switch. I can't getvisitors on my island on Animal Crossing. I can't race against friends on Mario Kart. Virtually all online gaming functionality is useless. And I'm frustrated I haven't been able to find a solution. I called support and they basically said there's nothing they can do. Has anyone found any solution to this?!17KViews6likes33ComentariosConsistent disconnects and low speeds
Lately, I've noticed my connection dropping every few minutes for a couple seconds, just enough to disrupt anything that requires stable connection. On top of that, my speeds have gone down to 10-20 down and 30 up, (unless I'm talking to support, then they're miraculously 100+ both ways🙄 (that's a whole other conspiracy)) Support is claiming work on the tower, which is a possibility I suppose. Upon digging deeper into it though,I figured out which tower I'm connected to via CGI info, and it's literally the one in my backyard, 300 yards away. Now, I can see that tower from my desk, and there has not been any work there for months now. The driveway leading to it has a huge tree down across is. So unless it's remote updates, I don't think there's been work to it. Even more baffling, is that this tower, according to Cellmapper, doesn't even cover my home, it's apparently pointed the opposite direction. The tower that best covers me is 1.7 miles away. Advanced metrics reads as follows. Unfortunately, I never checked this info when times were good to compare it to now. The two that are currently "Good" do convert to "Excellent" a lot of the time. The "Poor" SINR is very rarely above a 4, no matter where it is in my house, and then other stats drop down in quality anyway.I've tried moving it around, and this is about as good as it gets location wise. Tool in the app confirms it as well. RSSI LTE - Excellent (-69) RSRQ 5G - Good (-12) LTE - Excellent (-7) RSRP 5G - Good (-84) LTE - Excellent (-78) SINR 5G - Poor (2) LTE - Excellent (21) Band 5G - n41 LTE - b66 Anyone have any idea what's going on?137Visto0likes1ComentarioWhy is the Home Internet Gateway functionality crippled?
I have ArcadyanKVD21, and while I am thoroughly impressed with the speeds from the device on the T-Mobile 5G network, I am disgusted by the lack of any ability to properly manage & (more importantly)secure thisdevice. This trade between speed and security is insulting and offensive to me as a technologically adeptSecurity professional, andexacerbatedby the fact thatT-Mobile continues to fail when tasked with protecting user account PII data. The inability to perform certain key functions completely disappoints me. Below are the primary issues and concerns, which *MUST* be resolved to keep me as a customer: Cannot perform setup /administrativetasks via wired interface. Current (internal)web interface only offers a "basic" informational portal. Cannot completely disable (turn off) WiFi, (likely due to the above). What (few) administrative tasks that are available, requires:download &installation of a worthless"mobile app", which also requires the device be connected to the local WiFi network. Current administrative functions are limited to 3 tasks, changingthe:administrative password, WiFi password, orname of the WiFi SSID. T-Mobile Internet app losesany/allfunctionalitybeyond the local network. If the gateway is connected to the internet, and the device with the app is as well, then there should be no valid reason to require "local" access, especially if the next point is true… As this prevents a parental/guardianauthority from managing the device while travelingoroutside the home (at work). T-Mobile app does not permit multiple instances of the app to be logged in with the same account/credentials. (per T-Mobile technical rep) What absolutely perplexes me is that many (if not all) of these points DID NOT EXIST when I reviewed an earlydevice around one (1)yearago… So why "cripple" the functionality?!?1.1KViews6likes11ComentariosGateway Hard Reset
I have been using the T-Mobile 5G home Internet for about a year. A few weeks I thought my son may have performed an hard reset on the gateway by accident. Today while sitting in the same room, I went through the network dropping and when the gateway powered back on it hadperformed ahard reset on its own Is this due to a possiblefirmware being pushed or an issue with my gateway and I need to replace?
