I use AWS VPN to connect to my work. There are times when I'm on the road and need to connect to work. I used to be able to just use my T-mobile hotspot from my Mac and work anywhere I had T-mobile connection. Since about the beginning of the year, I no longer can connect via AWS VPN. In the last couple of months I've been working with our IT department to figure out if anything is blocked on their end. They have made sure that I'm not blocked when connecting via my phone hotspot. There appear to be issues with IPv6 connections, but there's nothing that I can change on my T-mobile connection from my iPhone to change any of that. Anybody can connect using AWS VPN over t-mobile hotspot?Solved1.4KViews3likes8ComentariosHotspot Usage when Not using Hotspot | Tidal running slow
I wanted to share my experience in case others are facing a similar issue: I received a new Samsung S24 in February. Since then, I've been receiving notifications about exceeding my hotspot data usage, even though the hotspot is turned off. This seemed strange. I reported this to T-Mobile support, but they kept pointing to their system showing I was using hotspot data and advised me to turn it off. Additionally, I use Tidal for music streaming. Recently, I've been unable to stream music using mobile data as it was extremely slow or wouldn't load at all. Today, after receiving another hotspot usage message (indicating I exceeded the 5GB cap without using the hotspot), I noticed my Tidal streaming stopped working on mobile data this billing cycle. I checked my phone's data usage, and it showed Tidal had used over 5GB of mobile data-the exact amount as the hotspot data cap. It seems T-Mobile's system was misreporting Tidal's mobile data usage as hotspot data. I tried explaining this to support, but they didn't acknowledge it. They reset the network connection to my phone, which seemed to resolve the issue. I suspect this problem might be related to T-Mobile's "Music Freedom" feature included in my plan, which is supposed to prioritize or differently handle music streaming traffic.146Visto2likes3ComentariosWhy is Tidal data being recognize as hotspot data?
Hi! I've called support a few times about this, and they opened a ticket with a higher level tech support. Basically, what is happening is that data for my Tidal music app is being counted against my Hotspot data and then I'm being rate limited when I hit the monthly limit. It is a pain. I have the Magenta MAX plan, if that matters. I've followed the basic trouble shooting via T-Mobile support to reset my network settings. Tech support said that the data usage is showing up as hotspot usage "in one system but not another," and that's why they opened a ticket. I have heard back from tech support regarding the status of the ticket and they say there is "no provisioning errors" on the backend. Anyways, I want to be able to use Tidal with my unlimited data and not have it count again my hotspot allotment. And, I've verified that no external device is connected via the Wi-Fi hotspot. The hotspot feature has been off all month. I've also cleared the cache/local data, uninstalled the app, and reinstalled it, and it is still rate limited. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? ¡Gracias!108Visto2likes2Comentarioscan't use ssh connections when i'm using the hotspot
whenever i connect my laptop to my phone's mobile hotspot, i can never get these to work: ssh connection to my AWS environment running apt-get update / yum updates on my Ubuntu distro embedded in my Windows 10 laptop installing anything via Mac Terminal on my Macbook Pro, such as RVM / NVM / wget calls / telnet calls, etc the most common error i get in all the above use-cases is some variant of a "Network is unreachable" error message anyone else run into this issue? These issues defeat the point of paying for mobile hotspot since i have to be able to actually work using the hotspot : )336Visto1like1ComentarioTmobile mobile hotspot

Hello, i recently had to switch cellphone providers from sprint to tmobile since sprint merged. For years i have played xbox live with a mobile hotspot all the way back to when ntelos was still around. Its always worked fine until i had to switch to tmobiles network and now i cant join any xbox live parties whatsoever. This has never been an issue until now, ive tried speaking with representatives and gotten no help or real answers as to why this is. Ive read on here that others have had similar issues with tmobile but they were using a gateway router. Im using the hotspot off my phone which again, has always worked great until having to switch to tmobile. Anyone know a fix?981Visto1like1ComentarioPlaystation portal to hotspot

Why is my mobile hotspot limit so low only 5gb when I have a 50gb data cap? Databis data isn't it? It shouldn't matter whether I use it on my phone or use hotspot to provide "wifi" to my computer. Why does Tmobile limit hotspot data so much on an "unlimited" data plan. Doesn't seem very unlimited to me! Seems very limited considering an hour of video is a GB! I guess they can charge for more data because they have a * in the contract that basically makes unlimited not unlimited!588Visto1like3ComentariosAnyone else experiencing inaccurate hotspot usage reports?
Is anyone else not getting the proper mobile hotspot usage data reported to their account? I called T-mobile and the say I've used 7 gbs of mobile hotspot data yet it only reports as 0.01 gbs used. And this is supposed to be the most reliable source of being able to track my hotpot usage other than calling in to ask.444Visto1like4Comentarios
