Is it possible to port the number out on my current account, while keeping my plan and getting a new phone number for it. No guesses please. This question is for an employee. If it's not possible, what about - as a work-around - getting a 2nd line on the account, but porting out the number on the original line?Solved3.9KViews0likes7ComentariosComparing the December 2023 Google Fi Wireless Simply Unlimited Plan vs T-Mobile Magenta 1.0 Plan
After asking ChatGPT 3.5, Microsoft copilot, and Google Bardto compare the 'Google Fi Wireless Simply Unlimited plan' to 'T-Mobile Magenta 1.0 Plan' and determine which one is better for a family of 7 porting their own telephone numbers and bringing their existing cell phones. The answer for all three came back in favor of Google Fi Wireless. Does T-Mobile plan to offer an equally competitive plan? Because of space limitations here is the result of Bing Copilot (which is a competitor of Google): "Thank you for your question. I have searched the web for the details of the Google Fi Wireless 'Simply Unlimited' plan and the T-Mobile 'Magenta 1.0' plan, and I will compare them based on the information I found. The Google Fi Wireless 'Simply Unlimited' plan is a flexible and affordable plan that offers unlimited data, calls, and texts within the US, Canada, and Mexico for $30 per month per line for three or more lines1.This plan also includes 5 GB of hotspot tethering, free international texting to over 200 destinations, free calls to over 200 destinations from the US, full connectivity for select smartwatches, family safety features, VPN service, spam blocking, location sharing, contact controls, and 100 GB of cloud storage with Google One12. The T-Mobile 'Magenta 1.0' plan is a plan that offers unlimited data on the 5G & 4G LTE network for $70 per month per line3.This plan also includes unlimited mobile hotspot data at 3G speeds after 5 GB is used (up to 600 kbps), optimized video streaming at 480p, domestic data roaming up to 200 MB, international texting and calling to Mexico and Canada (up to 5 GB), Gogo in-flight Wi-Fi with unlimited texting and one hour of Wi-Fi access per session (unlimited flights/sessions), Scam Shield with free caller ID and scam blocking features, proxy line service by DIGITS by T-Mobile (requires a subscription fee), Netflix on us (requires two or more lines)34. Based on these comparisons, I think that the Google Fi Wireless 'Simply Unlimited' plan is better for a family of seven porting their own telephone numbers and bringing their existing cell phones because: It has a lower monthly cost than the T-Mobile 'Magenta 1.0' plan ($30 vs $70 per month per line). It has more hotspot tethering data than the T-Mobile 'Magenta 1.0' plan (5 GB vs none). It has more international features than the T-Mobile 'Magenta 1.0' plan (free texting and calling to over 200 destinations from the US vs none; free international texting to over 200 destinations vs none; free calls to over 200 destinations from the US vs none). It has more security features than the T-Mobile 'Magenta 1.0' plan (VPN service; spam blocking; location sharing; contact controls). It has more cloud storage than the T-Mobile 'Magenta 1.0' plan (100 GB with Google One vs none). I hope this helps you make an informed decision about your cell phone plans. Hello, I'm on the 20$ prepaid plan. I'm outside USand unable to contact T-Mobile.What's the grace period a prepaidaccount can remain out of balance from the last service day ie 30 days? I'm not veryclear ofthe below statement from T-Mobile. "If balance is insufficient to renew all lines on your account for 120 days, all lines will be suspended for 30 days. If you have an account balance, all lines will convert to Pay As You Go for 30-day increments with $3/mo" Is it stating that anaccount can remain out of balance for 120 days after which the account is suspended and number reallocated? I canmake a one time payment as guest but how long after the 30 day service window can I make the payment? Let me know if there any question.Any help regarding this is appreciated. I'm with t-mobile since 2013 and during the years being adding lines to my account with various promotions. Currently I have 8 lines paying $210 total with autopay and I'm still on retired plan "one". Is there a real benefit switching to a new t-mobile plan Go5G or it's essentially the same? If I switch, will I keep my price with all my promos? also for 100GB premium data that comes with Go5G plan, is it per line or it's per account for all lines? Hey, we're looking at swapping our two phones over from Plan to Prepaid as it would be a bit cheaper per month and we're in a bit of a tight spot, even on the cheapest Plan option. I'm having a hard time finding out *how* exactly to do this though. My best guess is we'll need new SIM cards, which is fine, but we really really want to keep our current phone numbers, so need to make sure of that before we go ahead. Also don't really want to break anything if we can help it! It would be nice if there was a setting somewhere in the accounts that we could just change and have it be done, but I don't think that's in there. At least that we could find Asking here first because I can't find any direct to t-mobile support ticket thing anywhere, and I really do not want to have to call them (highly, highly prefer text support). Thanks for help in advance!Solved699Visto0likes3ComentariosT-Mobile US Pre-paid eSIM purchase via app error 505
I just attempted to purchase a prepaid eSIM via the official T-Mobile Prepaid eSIM US app, and after entering the mail address, selected plan, payment card information, I got the following error: "There is an issue completing your order…..(error 505) (cart id ...)" Now I'm stuck and don't know: Whether the payment really went through as I'm using a company card. Whether the eSIM plan has been properly installed on my device. Whether I'd be able to activate it once I land in the US (I've not travelled yet but wanted to purchase ahead of travel time and activate it upon arrival). Can you help me solve this situation? Hi, I've spent literally 3 days trying to get this fixed but when I go to start activation for the Google One 2TB + Unlimited Photos it says "You can't activate your plan with this account. To finish activation, switch to the account you used to sign up for Google One." T-Force has no resolution and Google Support says they can't help since it's billed through T-Mobile. Does anyone know how I can get this fixed I definitely do not have any other Google account at all. Google Support was useless and I just get thrown back and forth between T-Mobile & Google Support.499Visto1like8ComentariosCosts Associated With Using Phone in Mexico on Older Plan
Hello, Could someone please tell me the costs associated with using my phone for data, text, and calling in Mexico? I am specifically interested in calling, as I am unable to determine whether it is included or $0.25 per minute. I tried to look on the website, but it only seems to include information for "Essentials" and "Magenta" plans. For reference, I have the Select Choice FAM UNL TT 50 plan. If there is a cost associated with data roaming and/or calling while in Mexico on this plan, is there an add-on that I can get for it? ¡Gracias de antemano!348Visto0likes1ComentarioI am unable to change my plan to Magenta Max
