ugrade prepaid phone
I've have a prepaid iPhone XS with tmobile and I wanted to upgrade my phone to the new iPhone 14, but still keep my account as prepaid. I just feel like prepaid is more convenient for me and I don't want to lose it. Is it possible for me to do that? Also, I'm not interested in trading in my current phone, I rather keep my phone and buy a new one. I just want it to be prepaid. I hope this makes sense
Go to an Apple store and buy one there. I did my last upgrade at Best Buy. Buying a new phone doesn't require you to change your plan unless the phone has special pricing for certain plans.
With T-Mobile, the service is tied to your SIM, not the IMEI of your device. If you have a pSIM (physical SIM) in your iPhone XS, you will need to convert that to an eSIM (embedded SIM) when setting up your iPhone 14 because the US models of iPhones do not have a physical SIM slot.
