Home Internet, Tech Support and App is Terrible. Going Back to Cable
Short Version
Home Internet, more issues than it is worth. Tech support is really bad and gives you false information which you know is false. Had a supervisor disconnect me but never called back. Once in a while you great someone that is good but still cannot solve all the issues. The app for home internet is a work in progress which will never get fixed. Why it even exists is beyond me.
Will have cable back up and running in a couple of days.
And the kicker, 2x+ better speed and cheaper than what I am paying now.
Sorry I even made the switch to home internet.

I got a great deal on home Internet and 2 phone lines, but I've come to realize you get what you pay for. Phone service is no worse or better than the competition, but troubleshooting will sometimes not find a signal, find a signal and my router is where it says it should be, or wait 30 minutes and it wants me to move my router to the other end of the house. I had heard T-Mobile internet was bad, but that is an understatement.

You seem to echo my situation. I had Futiva which alway worked fine for the 6 months I had it. Along came my phone provider with such a deal. I live the portable router which I used in hotels...more secure. My problem is the outages. Just looseing a connection for a minute daily frustrates me, not to mention times of 30 minutes plus. Asume there is nothing that can be done. Hope all works for you.

Tmobile needs to get their messaging right on cell internet service. Basically, Tmobile or any other carriers' internet service via cell data is meant for the following:
- You want a cheaper option than what you have now, but willing to live with lower data speeds and higher latencies. "Cheaper" includes no fees for equipment and no long term contracts.
- Your location doesn't have cable or fiber internet options leaving you with very expensive options like satellite. Cell data MAY work but performance will on the low end.
- If you RV and willing to pay for the RV plan, then this is a good option. Not all that different than hotspot from a tech perspective, but the RV internet plan is unlimited data.
Basically if you have fast, reliable internet options with cable or fiber there is no reason to try Tmobile unless you are in category 1. In no scenario will you get better internet service from any cell data based solution compared to cable or fiber.
At least Tmobile and other cell carriers are putting pressure on the near monopoly of cable internet providers to lower their prices.
