I just left Breezeline due to horrible service for over a month, and when it went out from home, my T-Mobile iPhone became my hotspot. After realizing it was more reliable than my landline Internet, I tried the T-Mobile Home Internet. I was shocked to get 700 down and 60 up, consistently, so after two weeks of successful stress testing I dropped Breezeline. With that said, here are my two main frustrations: I have a UniFi network with several APs in my home all connected to a UniFi switch and UniFi router… I am sure you can see where I'm going with this… 1) I do not need theSagemcom Fast 5688W router OR 2) its WiFi. You cannot disable WiFi on the unit, or put it into bridge mode to bypass the router. I have tried getting into the device with no luck. So now, I have a double NAT situation and the T-Mobile gateway is emitting frequencies that are going unused. This is a huge oversight on T-Mobile's end. T-Mobile, if you read these, I know a few people using your home internet, and they're all complaining of the same thing - Forums are also littered with this feedback as well - Please listen. Allow 1) Turning the WiFi radios off, and 2) bypass the gateway's routing using a bridge mode (I think that will work). This is very disappointing that it's so locked down, but with that said, I am happy with the reliability. I just would love to see some additional functionality added as I'm sure I'm not the only person using my own router or mesh system with their gateway. If anyone has any suggestions would love to hear. ¡Gracias!8.9KViews5likes16ComentariosG4AR no internet
Hi I'm replacing a KVD21 Gateway with a G4AR Gateway because of location to use an external antenna. When I hook up the G4AR on the screen it shows 3 bars and says good connection but also shows "no internet". When I look at the Advanced Cellular Metrics in the App it does not show a Cell Tower. I'm not sure if it is because it shows Firmware version 1.00.02 instead of .09. ButT-Mobile can'tupdate the firmware without the internet connection. Thanks for any help on this.175Visto0likes4ComentariosMy G4SE received newer firmware version 1.03.20
I finally started to wonder about a user's suggestion about (hard) resetting the router using the back button and decided to give it a whirl. To my surprise, after i was setup i checked the firmware version and it was bumped to 1.03.20 (was 1.03.19). The hard reset probably wasn't required but if people still don't get updated in a day, maybe reset to see if it gets updated after? Either way, we've been heard. Thanks T-Mobile.386Visto0likes2ComentariosHow to Get Text Notifications for 5G Home Internet?
When I signed up for 5G Home Internet, I was assigned a T-Mobile telephone number for the gateway device - I get it. BUT I want to have my bill related texts sent to my actual cell phone number that is NOT T-Mobile. I went into settings in my T-Mobile account, and my gatewaytelephone number is there, but I can't add another number. Does that make sense? Can anyone help?109Visto0likes3ComentariosiP Address has me in MT not WA
I'm frustrated that my T-Mobile IP address has me in Montana and not the state I live in (Washington). I see MT ads instead of locally targeted ones. Why is T-Mobile using IP addresses in MT? Do they have a farm there or is there a way to alter my IP to the place I live?20Visto0likes0ComentariosNew subscriber -- G4SE running firmware 1.03.14 -- drops internet for ~15 seconds multiple times a day
I'm new to T-Mobile 5G Internet - signed up to save money and because I've always had a good experience with T-Mobile overall. Setting up the G4SE gateway was straightforward, and my speed tests show solid results. However, there's an issue that's been frustrating: several times a day, my connection drops for about 15 seconds. Gateway Model: G4SE Firmware: 1.03.14 Issue: Internet connection drops intermittently for about 15 seconds, while local devices remain pingable. During these drops, I can still ping the gateway's internal IP without issues, indicating a temporary loss of only the external internet connection. I reviewed the forums, and it seems I'm not the only one facing this. I called T-Mobile support, hoping for some insight, but they suggested it might be due to my MacBook not using the 5 GHz band. ?!?!?!? Not exactly the response I expected for a core connectivity issue. Anyone else experiencing this? Any tips or ideas for further troubleshooting? I gather there is a problematic firmware but this doesn't seem to be the one people are generally having an issue with?Another suggestion was to make sure its not overheating101Visto0likes2ComentariosNo option in T-life app to add mesh extender
I got a new mesh extender (first one died with the solid white light, just like so many other people here). When I got my first extender, it was super easy to set up with the app when I set up my gateway. So I scanned the QR code of instructions that came with the new extender and the instructions/graphics do not match what shows in the app (which I just updated). There is no option anywhere in the app to "add new access point" anywhere. There's an ethernet cord included but no instructions. This $ucks. I'm starting to think Xfinity wasn't so bad after all.440Visto0likes2Comentarios
