18 TopicsCharged for a Cell Spot
Hey All, I recently transferred (closed) my account and moved it into my ex-wife's name. The rep I worked with on the phone helped me close account and pay the balance for my phone, etc. Now a few weeks later I get a bill for $314.65 for a supposed CellSpot non-return fee. To the best of my knowledge I never received or used a CellSpot device- and have zero record of any communications with TMobile about it! I have spent 4 hours on the phone -- (mostly on hold) in the last couple of weeks-- only to eventually be disconnected when I asked for the call to be escalated. I asked the reps numerous times if they could provide me with a description of the specific device I was sent, and any documentation of the standard replacement fee charge- and if they have any record of my ever receiving it, but they are adamant that their system doesn't have that information. So am I just supposed to pay this phantom charge for over $300?!?! Helpppp!3.3KViews1like8ComentariosWanting to return ~7-10 year old CellSpot, fastest way to get return label?
Hello, Trying to remove some clutter from my house, I found a very old (probably 7-10 years old) T Mobile CellSpot. Is there a faster way to get a return label generated? I'm on hold with Customer Care but it's been over 30 minutes and considering they'd have to email me a return label anyway, there's gotta be a better way. PS: 30 minutes on hold with no indicator for how long the line is...wow237Visto0likes5ComentariosCellSpot personal

I had a Verizon Network Extender before switching to T-Mobile. The Network Extender was working fine. After switching to T-Mobile, I set up the T-Mobile 4G LTE Cellspot using the same network connection to my DMZ (no ports blocked). I have a very fast fiber connection and typically one-bar of service from T-Mobile on my Samsung S22 Ultra. After initializing, all the lights stay lit (except for the 3G light which I understand will never light). After a short time, the 4G LTE light starts to blink and eventually shut off, when the status light turns blinking-amber. After a short while the status light goes solid-green again and the 4G LTE light turns solid-green. This constantly cycles thru the same sequence. At no time am I able to make calls with WiFi calling turned off. T-Mobile replaced the first unit I had, thinking it was bad, but the second unit does the same thing. I've tried moving the Cellspot to a different location with the same result. So far, customer service hasn't been able to help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.68Visto0likes0ComentariosTmobile cell spot service

My neighborhood has T-Mobile coverage, but it is very poor. I am currently a Verizon customer who plans to switch to Mint Mobile, and I want to get a T-Mobile CellSpot I can connect to the LAN at my house. Can I expect my Mint Mobile service to be compatible with the T-Mobile CellSpot? Anyone have any knowledge or experience with this? Will it work?Solved3.1KViews0likes4ComentariosIs my neighbor's 4G LTE Cellspot degrading my service?
For reference I live in an apartment building which has acceptable T-Mobile service as I'vegone years without any issues living here. A new neighbor hasmoved in recently, and I noticed that I havebeen experiencingworse call qualityand more calls have beendropping. Our building has a very spotty internet provider with high ping and slow upload speeds. A few things lead me to believe that my new neighborshave installed a T-Mobile 4G LTE Cellspot. I'mfamiliar with the Cellspot because my parents live in a rural area and have one in their home.In the past myphone used to display 5G service regularly, nowinstead itdisplays LTE exclusively. When stepping outside about twenty yards away from the building my 5G service returns. I also receive better speeds when running a speed test outside away from my building. Inside of my building I barely reach 40mbs down and usually below5 mbs upload speed which is important for calls and video calls. Speed and the quality of calls has never been an issue before. But only recently becauseof this I'm needingto leave my hometo make calls. It's frustrating because like I said this is a recent issue and I can pin it to something that's making it worse. I use my T-Mobile service to get away from my terrible internetto begin with. I understand that there is no way to connect to the tower directly because the Cellspot is basically a small tower itself and the phone connects there by default. ¿Cuáles son mis opciones?1.2KViews1like8ComentariosDigital Touch Tone vs. Touch Tone
Technology can improve our daily lives and can also complicate them. Going forward at times, can result in going backwards. "If it isn't broke, leave it alone". Touch tone Old technology has a preprogrammed "tone" established, allowing a connection to be heard and passed through with correct information. Newer technology uses thousands of tones associated with 0-9 computer screen connections. " if you would like to receive this call pres 1", by pressing 1, this tone must connect with the exact receiving tone as the outgoing tone. If the tones do not exactly match, you mayfind yourself pressing "Beethoven" vs "Motzart". Your call will not connect if your note does not match the receiving note. How do companies address this issue? After several agents pass the buck, hang up on you and you finally manage an agent without preprogrammed bot mentality, you will discover a claim to their technicians will be processed for further review. Usually a 3 day or week process. Akind agent will brief you upon this expected length, though technically this is a breech in policy, some agents are actually still bread with human decency. A history of incomming lines will be viewed for their tone matching capabilities to rule out whose playing b flat. Once identified a tune up follows. However as with all instruments, those musicians know nothing ever stays perfectly in tune. Going forward can at times mean, your really better off sometimes with one octave than with multiple octaves, as there are less variables of your touch tone being unable to play the exact reciprocating frequencies needed to simply....connect calls. Life is a balance of machine and mankind. Machines are only as good as they are programmed. A good company will never put policy over their paying customers. A company is only as good as its character, not of its policies. Policies are fluid rules needing to bend with the tide of current needs. A company unwilling to address their outdated or unacceptable policies, will find their "product" will never support their character. But quality of Character will always support a product.142Visto0likes1ComentarioCellSpot v2 Tech has never heard of the following "light" sequence
Hello. My CellSpot is not working and seems "stuck," despite a factory reboot. However, when I spoke to a T tech person, she said she never encountered my "light" sequence. Power Light Green, all others dark for 5 seconds All lights turn (including power) Amber, steady, then blinks and turns dark Power Light turn back on Green for 5 seconds All Lights turn (including power) Amber, steady, then blinks and turns dark. The above continued this cycle for 1 hour and 50 minutes. Tech confirmed address and said it should "provision." I'm at a loss. Has anyone encountered this situation?85Visto0likes1Comentario
