8 Topicst-mobile Home Internet - Location Issue
I live in Los Angeles County California, and the home internet is showing the different sites that I am in Las Vegas. This creates a problem from things like streaming YouTube TV, to access my local channels. Spent many hours with Home Internet (they act like they have never heard of the problem - yet I have seen some comment on this chat (doesn't T-Mo monitor the chat room, (another question for another day))). It was suggested that I wire my personal router into the T-Mo router, and at first it appeared to work but then when I went to You Tube it showed location as Vegas again, An hour on chat with You-tube (this person appeared to know what they were talking about) and he finally said that You tube uses your IP address to determian where you have access and since my was saying Vegas that all they can do. Anyone have any suggestions on a work around, I would hate to go back to Spectrum to solfe the issue.11KViews1like38ComentariosAdd static IP address to individual device
Firstly, I hope everyone is havinga Merry Christmas and enjoying the holidays! My question. How do I set static IP addresses for specific devices on my home network? I am using the T-Mobile Arcadyan(KVD21) gateway for my network. Thank you. Tom Rhymestine Miami, Florida3.5KViews1like6ComentariosIP Location issue
So apparently I cannot connect to sites that need to verify your location because my new tmobile internet service shows me as being located in a State that is different from my actual location. Been on hold for 50 mins to speak to someone, not sure if I will get anyone tonightand this is not looking good for customer service support that you don't have a different number specifically for tech issues like this.31KViews12likes49ComentariosUsing Safari some sites say you have been blocked
Looking for insights on solving this problem: On some sites I am frequently seeing this message. Not sure if this is my IP or a Safari problem. I have checked that Safari has JavaScript enabled. Much obliged for any advice offered. You have been blocked. Why? Something about the behaviour of the browser has caught our attention. There are various possible explanations for this: You are browsing and clicking at a speed much faster than expected of a human being. Something is preventing JavaScript from working on your computer. There is a robot on the same network (IP 172.xx.xx.77) as you.213Visto0likes2ComentariosInternet Location Incorrect
Ive had t-mobile’s Home Internet just under a year , when i go to my homepage , i go to the search bar type in an “a” let it search , at the bottom of google’s search page , it says update location , once I click on that it brings my location to where I live , Hope this helps, Its a pain , but you cant have cheap prices and not having to do a little work to make it right , and the tower i pull from is across the street , makes no sense to me .129Visto1like0ComentariosWill Nexx Smart Alarm work with T-Mobile Home Internet?
I'm using an Envisalink to manage and monitor my home alarm system on my mobile phone.I'm considering switchingto the Nexx Smart Alarm. T-Mobile Home Internet has begun blocking ports so the Envisalink does not work. Will the Nexx Smart Alarm work withT-Mobile Home Internet?Nexx uses ports 443 and HTTP ports 80 / 8080. Also, for future reference, is there anyway to know, in advance, what works and does not work with T-Mobile Home Internet?51Visto0likes0ComentariosADS on my Modem, & other issues
In addition to all of my other problems that have me constantly rebooting my gateway, I am seeing ads come up trying to sell me insurance, etc. Sometimes even using another person name, as if they had this gateway! Then it says, type END tounsubscribe. How exactly you do this on a modem?!! Service dropping, and rapid fire IP address changes have cost me hours every day for weeks. Have to call HULU 5 to 10 x a day now to reset my zip code to an IP address, then it changes 30 minutes later, and back on the phone I go. Internet has been out 5 mornings out 7 this week. Drops out a minimum of 4 x a day. Does TM even care to attempt to sustain this service? Or just blame Hulu, and every other tv provider, etc. This is a TM architecture problem. Network was clearly NOT ready to handle the customer load. I have heard the same excuses over and over again regarding poor internet connectivity. The ENGINEERS accidentally moved me to a new tower. They just"cleared the backlog". Goes out again the next day. Over all of it, really. Going to look elsewhere for decent service.122Visto0likes2ComentariosCan Wifi mesh solve IP location issue w streaming TV?
Has anyone tried using a Wifi mesh to solve the issue with dynamic IP addresses used by the TMobile Home gateway? Apparently static IP addresses can be assigned with these devices. I don't know enough about whether this would solve the location problem with services like HuluTV, etc.348Visto0likes2Comentarios
