12 TopicsFraudulent Outgoing International Calls from U.S.
On my current 4/2/23 T-Mobile bill, there are THREE outgoing calls from 3/14/23 to Malaysia (10:46, 10:47, & 10:58 am). These calls were allegedly made FROM my 82 Y/O mom's iPhone (in the U.S.) and she doesn't know anyone in Malaysia. Having seen other complaints on this Community forum website, I am wondering if this is an ongoing fraud/spoofing issue that is a direct result of the recent T-Mobile data breach, or some type of phishing scam and U.S. T-Mobile customers are being targeted? I have asked my mom to review her iPhone's "Recent" calls list (outgoing) on this date for ANY proof we can present to T-Mobile to support our claim. I think at this point, a class action law suit maybe necessary.220Visto0likes3ComentariosTo Fix What's Broken, or.....Not.
This was just too funny not to share. I just joined this forum and received this nice welcome email but either the Magenta Lounge no longer exists, or the link doesn't work anymore. So I decided to take screenshots and send an email to the address on the page since they so kindly provided an email address that throws up HUGE BRIGHTred flags: NO-REPLY@t-mobile.com 🤣. I thought, 99.99%sure I'm going to get a delivery failure, and SURE ENOUGH: Just adding this to the list of reasons why I failed at choosing our next carrier! 🥳 🥂253Visto0likes4ComentariosPrinter Stopped Connecting to Wifi
Now, whenever I try to reconnect, it says that it failed the MAC address filtering check. My Gateway isArcadyan KVD21, which according to some other questions I've seen asked, doesn't have those kinds of access controls. I've got a 2.4g band set up which is what the printer needs, and confirmed that the printer supports the WPA3-SAE security type I've got set up. The frustrating part is that when I switched to T-Mobile back in November, the printer connected just fine. We don't use it super often, so it's not clear when this issue arose. The printer is an Epson ET-4800. Before I call up Epson support and have them tell me it's the fault of the gateway, is there anything else I should try?191Visto0likes1ComentarioT-MOBILE has been overcharging me for months, changed account without authorization, and now want over $1000!?!?
T-Mobile has been overcharging me since November 2023 when my bill skyrocketed from $130 to over $388!!!???I spent endless hours on the phone, talked to numerous representatives and managers who not only claim they fixed the problem but tell me they will call me back within the week. GUESS WHAT - they NEVER call back and,to date, the problem STILLis NOTfixed. They now want over $1000!? For what you ask…well, it seems, they want over $1000 to pay for choppy service, customer service that messes up your account every time you call in, andissues that NEVER get resolved. At this time, I do not have the time to call in every other day, and I am building up a case to properly send a detailedreportto the Better Business Bureau. Furthermore, T-Mobile refuses to email or put anything in writing…hasn't it been said that scammers operate like this!?159Visto0likes1ComentarioHome Internet Wi-Fi disconnecting
I recently jumped on the wagon for the T-Mobile home Internet,it was great for the first three weeks getting about 250Mbps download and close to 25Mbps on uploadand now it's super slow and keeps dropping somedevicesoff the WiFi.I have to reset the modem to get the device to reconnect!it's been a steady frustration that now it's happening everyday. Is anyone else having the same issues?5.5KViews7likes25ComentariosT-mobile is BLOCKING me from ordering directly on Samsung.com
I'm trying to take advantage of the pre-order special for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra directly from Samsung.com because their offer is better than T-mobile. Samsung.com is offering the same promotion as T-mobile + a free Samsung Galaxy 5 watch and $37.55 off my total (thanks to my employer perks discount). Which brings me to a total of ~$27 a month for 24mo installment plan with a trade in of my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G. T-mobile I would have to pay ~$31 and that will not include a Samsung Galaxy 5 watch. So purchasing directly with Samsung.com is a no Brainer. However, it turns out I can't because I am a loyal customer of almost 22 years and I am on a legacy agreement called the MCSA which is blocking my T-mobile PIN on the Samsung website. Specifically this error message: "You've tried to login with an account type which is not supported on Samsung.com" The only solution to this is for them to switch my account to a "regular" account but in doing so I will lose any and all promotions and discounts that I have on my account which includes a free line credit that I took advantage of 3 years ago. How is this fair? And any thoughts or suggestions? This promo ends tonight :(1.2KViews0likes6ComentariosHigh-Speed Internet Gateway does not work with some apps on T-mobile Home Wifi Internet
I don't know if anybody can help. Encountered a few deal breaking moments with T-mobile Home Wifi internet. I get a whopping 100-235mbps with my High-Speed Internet Gateway but it prevents full access to apps causing extreme lag spikes, pages not loading and video not playing with Amazon Prime Video (on PS4 and on Amazon Fire Stick 4k), TD Ameritrade trading platform for Windows 10, and to a lesser extent apps like Epic Games on PC I also have T-vision TV package, that works fine. So does Netflix. Epic games was able to be fixed once telling PC to use Google DNS 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4. respectively. I had to use Nord VPN to get TD Ameritrade to function correctly without freezing at times, DNS change did not work here. Amazon prime video is still a no go, constantly stops and takes a long time to load again only to stop again. DNS change also did not resolve the issue. It should still work with Nord VPN because it bypasses all T-Mobile filters, but I did not buy T-mobile Home WiFi internet to need the VPN all the time, so I did not bother trying VPN with Prime Video. Is that something we can possibly fix in firmware? And soon please? Speaking of firmware. There is no place to get a new Firmware update which the High-Speed Internet Gateway critically needs. It lacks too many features. One the most needed features is to allow the High-Speed Internet Gateway to turn in just a modem and turn off all routing features so that users can bring their own independent routers to handle DHCP and other advanced functions. High-Speed Internet Gateway also has a bug where I can not fully disable all of the WiFi Signals. You can stop broadcast and SSID from being announced and reduce the radio power for 2.4ghz and 5ghz from 100% down to 12% but it is still not entirely off. I can still see a 5ghz band displaying a signal and allows me to connect when WiFi is supposed to be disabled. Apparently there is a 5Ghz low and 5Ghz high antenna mode. And the 5ghz high is the one that remains visible and usable. Can not be turned off. I don't want to use the hub for wifi, just want to use hard wired internet. I hope to see these issues addressed in the next firmware update with a resources on where we can obtain the new firmware update file as right now there is no information on that anywhere for the new High-Speed Internet Gateway. At the very least I want to see the simple feature of turning the gateway into a modem all by itself and I can handle all the routing on my end instead and if it comes to it I can do a whole house VPN that way and bypass all the problems. Older gateways had the expert mode from what I could see, please bring that back too if you can. Thank you for reading! And for the help! Mike P.S. I have already tried turning it off and back on again, obviously does not work. VPN seems to be the only way to bypass all the problems, but since the unit can not disable routing to act solely as a modem, I can not use a separate router for DHCP and to run VPN for the whole house.9.4KViews7likes21ComentariosFraudulent activity on my account, empty promises from Rep's, and no resolution so far.
Someoneactivated a sim card on my account and made calls originating from Jordan outgoing to different countries in that region. I am in the US and I only have one activated phone. This had to be a Tmobile employee because who else would have access to my account? I have called customer service several times and I am getting empty promises and lies from the Tmobile Rep's. I was told that a Fraud Claim was filed on my behalf and that was a lie. I was also told by another rep that I would receive a call back from a manager to help me rectify the situation and that was also a lie. T mobile needs to do better!170Visto0likes3Comentarios5G Service Doesnt Work
I unfortunately switched to T-Mobile a little over a month ago. My 5G service hasn't worked since the day I transferred to T-Mobile. I've made multiple complaints, T-Mobile has done nothing to correct the issue. I signed a contract for 5G service - after complaining to a T-Mobile customer service agent, she replied with this "This is not the service that we want you to experience here in T-Mobile and I know you just wanted to get the 5G network as much as possible. Right now, 5G network on your area is not yet fully developed so we highly suggest to use 4G LTE for ten meantime since there is a modernization to your 5G network for better connectivity in the future. We are hoping for your kind udnerstanding." I AM PAYING FOR 5G SERVICE, NOT 4G!! I was told 5G was available in my area prior to transferring to T-Mobile. This is a breach of contract. T-Mobile is selling services they cannot provide. I highly recommend everyone makes complaints to the FCC, FTC, BBB and your State AG! T-Mobile is scamming their customers and they need to be stopped!!!224Visto1like1Comentario
