Hello Everyone, I'm looking for some sort of help if anyone has encountered the issue that I am having. I recently tried to make a switch over to Verizon from T-mobile and had begun the process online. Mistake number 1. In trying to do so I did not realized that I needed transfer of liability from the account that I was under in order to have my own account. After realizing how much of a mess it was to even do that I decided it was not worth it to switch after all and decided to stick with T-Mobile. Before my number could be on my own account the T-mobile rep said that my number was ported to verizon and needed to be ported back. I had called Verizon and had them port my number back as they said my number was only partially ported. After all that I had my own account on T-mobile. Now I am not receiving messages from ANY Verizon carriers and I dont know what is going on. Verizon carriers are able to receive my messages and calls but I cannot receive messages from them, just calls. I have spoken to multiple people with tmobile up to the engineers and they have stated that everything is clean on their end and have even rebroadcasted my number. I have tried every possible thing that I could on the phone in order to see if I could resolve the issue but have not had any luck. I talked with a verizon rep today and they said that my account would be deactivated when the billing cycle ends in February but only stated the messaging issue was on tmobiles end. I am stuck, losing serious hope, and no longer know what to do. Can anyone help???????9.2KViews2likes42ComentariosHow to port my old number to T Mobile?
They gave me a temporary number to use and needed my old carrier's account number and pin. I didn't know it at the moment so I went after work to get it. Do I call T Mobile to proceed to transfer my number to the temporary number? Or can I port my number online somehow?8.8KViews1like6Comentariosnot receiving texts after porting
I recently transfer over to T-Mobile. After porting, three out of four lines are working fine. My daughter'sline (iPhone SX) is unable to receivetexts from certain phones (Androids). We called Apple and T-Mobile, no help. She has reboot phone, reset settings, reset network, checked blocked numbers, delete current text threads andsendnew texts. She can text these people, but she doesn't receive their texts. However, if the Android devices owners are in a group with an iPhone owner, she'll get the group texts. Please help!!! We're not getting much help from the "help services." She's in Medical School and really can't miss any textmessages.8.6KViews1like8ComentariosTmobile to Tmobile number transfer
Foryears I've had an old legacy prepaid account with T-mobile (phone #1). A couple days ago I took advantage of a trade-in promotion at bestbuy, I traded in my old phone and activated a new "Essentials" post-paidplan with T-Mobile. I requested to have my old prepaid account number (phone #1) ported to my new phone/line. I took the phone home and popped in the sim card bestbuy gave me and went through the activation process on bestbuys website. My phone was now working fine and I could call and make texts, however, my number appeared to be different (phone #2). Panicking, I called customer care, they told me that the number port-in was currently in progress and this (phone #2) was just a "temporary" number until the port in process was complete. She told me the process would take 24 hours and I'd receive a text saying it was successful. 28 hours later and Ireceived no suchtext and my number is still ("temporary" phone #2), I decide to head into a T-Mobile store this time instead of calling customer care again. The person who I spoke to was INCREDIBLY rude and didn't seem to grasp that I was transferring my old T-MOBILE number. He kept saying "your old carrier isn't releasing your number" I reply "You are my 'old' carrier" he says this doesn't make sense and says there's nothing he can do for me and to call customer care. I call customer care again and this representative tells me the same thing the first one did, there's a request to transfer (phone #1) to ("temporary" phone #2) and she says this process will take 48 hours (not 24 hours this time). She also tells me she's going to send me a text message containing her name and my case number. I havenever received this text. It's been 48 hours now and my number is still ("temporary phone #2)I don't know what's wrong or who to contact. I had a thought that maybe they're trying to contact me on my (phone #1) to confirm/verify the transfer? The problem is that I accidentally left my old sim card in the phone I traded in to best buy. I have no access to (phone #1) so if that number is getting any texts or calls from T-mobile I can't access it. According to customer care though all I have to do is wait, they've made no mention about having to do anything on my (phone #1). Is this really just a waiting game? Do I just keep calling customer care every 24 hoursto be toldit takes 72hours…96 hours? Or is part of the port-in process confirming/verifying something sent to my old number? If so what do I do? My sim card is inside the phone I traded into best buy. I'm posting here because I'm tired of the 2 hour wait times to get ahold of someone that just tells me I need to wait 24 MORE hours. Any input would be greatly appreciated This is what I see when I log into T-MobileSolved4.6KViews0likes4ComentariosPorting out number but keeping the plan
Is it possible to port the number out on my current account, while keeping my plan and getting a new phone number for it. No guesses please. This question is for an employee. If it's not possible, what about - as a work-around - getting a 2nd line on the account, but porting out the number on the original line?Solved3.9KViews0likes7ComentariosPorting in 907 area code
I called to try and port II n a 907 area code to my account. I was told of course I could and then was talked into upgrading to2 new phones with the line. Subsequently I was told they didn't think they could port this number in. I see this had been a problem for at least 2 years. Ihave an inquiry in now but If like to know ASAP if this problem can be remedied.3.2KViews0likes5ComentariosPorting T-Mobile to Google Voice
Move to Germany. Attempting to port my existing T-Mobile # to Google Voice. Google Voice is telling me my line is eligible for porting. Is this determined by phone plan, e.g. Magenta Plus, etc. or something else? Potential work arounds?Solved2.2KViews0likes3Comentariosported number not working correctly
I was a TMobile prepaid customer for years. I recently rolled my number over to a standard post-post Essentials plan. I got my temp SIM card, installed it and then called support to get my previous pre-paid number ported over. Everything seemed to work fine EXCEPT when I send text messages to two friends that I know are on Android, my number shows up as the temp SIM number still. (I'm using Google Messages on my phone and/or For Web). All my friends that are on Apple devices it seems to show up as the old, prepaid number that was ported over. Digging into it a little more, I noticed that if in Messages I send my texts as SMS/MMS and not RCS, then my texts go through on the pre-paid number that was ported. But if I leave RCS on, and I text those two Android users, then they receive everything on the temp SIM number still. So it seems to be linked to RCS vs SMS/MMS itself. But I don't understand why or what to do about it.2.1KViews0likes3ComentariosPorting from Optimum cable: has anyone done this?
I am trying to port my phone number from Optimum cable (aka Cablevision) to a new t-mobile line. T-mobile has given me a temporary number and I'm eager to use my old number. With my Optimum PIN number, the port failed. It turns out thatOptimum doesn't use a PIN for porting. I've confirmed this with several Optimum people. They say the PIN should be left blank. So far that hasn't worked either. Has anyone successfully ported from Optimum? PS. iPhone5 was unlocked and working with t-mobile SIM. Area code is local code (i.e. 914).Solved1.6KViews0likes1Comentario
