Notification update for Flip4phone
My fairly new Flip4 phone has a notification for a software update. No way to know if this is legit, what it is for, or any way to just clear it off that I can find. Does TMobile send update notifications without any way to verify that it is legit, what it is for, or if you can opt out (my phone is working just fine)?
Does T-Mobile have any plans to expose advanced settings on their gateways?
Is anyone able to provide a timeline for T-Mobile providing access to advanced router settings? (You know, the ones virtually all other ISPs provide) Currently T-Mobile's home internet solution does not allow users to: Manage DNS settings Manage DHCP (IP addresses for client machines) Use any subnet other than 192.168.12.x connected directly to the gateway Put the gateway into bridge mode - this results in double network address translation (NAT) that breaks services like port forwarding and VPN Specify the channel to be used for wireless SSIDs (neither 2.4 nor 5Ghz) It would be really nice to know if T-Mobile has any intention of ever resolving these issues. Until they do, users will continue to be frustrated with just how inflexible and limiting the T-Mobile home internet solution actually is compared to other ISPs. When you factor in that most users get 150/30Mbpsas average bandwidth, T-Mobile's low cost is actually not that low - most ISPs will provide 400/35Mbps for just a few dollars more. So, when can we expect to get real access, on T-Mobile Home Internet, to the configuration options that almost all other ISPs provide already? It really is shameful that this hasn't been addressed or resolved already!
Carrier Hub & MCM client incompatible.
I started having problems with my new phone 1/16/21 after an update my phone started processing request for MCM client for everything I did from making a call to sending a text and I noticed that I would loose Tmobile network and would not be able to connect to wifi until a restart Then the issues would start back with loosing calls and text's would not send. I uninstalled Carrier Hub and disabled automatic update for it then removed all permissions for MCM client and just like magic my phone is like new again with 0 problems.
Need Help Android Updates for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 that is stuck on Android 12 and isn't receiving any Android updates. I'm currently traveling and urgently need these updates. I've already tried all the basic troubleshooting steps I could find on Google and YouTube. Someone suggested that my phone needs to be unlocked, but it is already unlocked since I can use SIM cards from different countries during my journey. Can anyone assist me over chat or through a remote session to help me get the updates? Thanks in advance for your help!
