Mystery Lines On Your Account
Hi, everyone. T Mobile has decided that they want me to let everyone know they should be checking their account immediately for unrecognized devices, lines, and higher bills.
Nobody in our household has iPhones, but just today I was notified about a DIGITS promo that had been incorrectly applied to my account. As it turns out, T Mobile had allowed someone to add a new line and device on to my account without my knowledge. The best part is, they had been using DIGITS for some unknown reason. Perhaps it is to steal my information, perhaps it is to spam people from my phone number.
In any case, customer service did remove it from my account right away, but my bill (after adjustment) is yet still $10 higher than it was last month. This kind of security breach must be something I am responsible for. They have so far been completely silent, and I am wondering what it is going to take for them to make this right. I've been a T Mobile customer for about a month now, and every week there is some kind of enormous problem.
Regardless of my issues with the company, it would behoove you to double check your plans for new mystery phones that T Mobile has allowed onto them. They won't notify you, but they will bill you for it.

I have the samething- two phones bought within a day of each other - sent to another address in Oregon? Been paying since December - UGH - should have caught it early. Whats weird is they paid with another credit card, then i am getting all the subscription bills?

Happened to our account this morning. We are planning on calling as many times as possible until we get some answers. We did file a fraud report. Seems like this has been an ongoing issue for a while.

I went into the store yesterday to upgrade my phone then today I get a message regarding my new line so i log into my account to see what new line they are referring to hoping it was just a misunderstanding and they were referring to my new phone but no there is a new line which I did not authorize. How is that possible this is the second time that this is happened to me. How is T-mobile allowing this to happen.

and the problem continues… today 8/1/22 apparently someone went into a store, added a device and a line to my account as an “authorized user” Don’t know the person. over and hour and a half later, much of the time on hold, I got an assurance from the CS rep that a fraud investigation was being launched and I would hear back in 3-5 business days
I can’t get past “hello” when I go into a store to inquire about my account without showing a drivers license and when I try to use the web site have to go thru several layers of authentication.
How does this continue to be an issue???

They have been charging me since 2020, 2 years and I’m barely finding out.

I just found the same thing. Did they do anything? I was just told the add on was canceled so don't worry about it but I had been getting charged for 8 months

I noticed my bill was ten dollars higher this month so went into my accounts and sure enough there is some new phone number added. Waiting now on hold to get this resolved. not happy.
