Can't send/receive MMS on Wi-Fi
I've been having some trouble with sending and receiving MMS while on a WiFi connection (so almost all the time) since I have stated using my T-Mobile sim on my unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone from Sprint. Everything else seems to work fine e.g. calls, SMS, LTE, but when it comes to MMS it's a complete stalemate. I've tinkered my APN settings in almost every permutation I found online, and I don't have an option for Wi-Fi Calling so there's nothing I can seem to do on that front. A solution to this problem, so I can start receiving MMS again, would be great.
¡Hola, @magenta4936749!
I did some digging and was able to find that there is a known issue with Galaxy S7 Edge models that have an issue when handing off WiFi to the data network when trying to send MMS'. My recommendation would be to talk with Tech Support via 611 or T-Force (Facebook/Twitter) to get a ticket filed with our Engineers. By chance, have you already done this? If not, give that a shot and keep us updated on the outcome of the ticket.

I have the same problem on my A51. The app says it's not compatible with my system. I can't delete it or update it. I can't send or receive mms unless my mobile data is on, and if I forget to turn it off.. I bought a wifi capable phone because I have wifi service. I don't use my phone often so the cheap prepay plan unlimited talk and text is good enough EXCEPT I can't receive mms messages from my grandkids unless my data is turned on, which is limited. I'm about to toss tmobile service which I've been loyal to for many years. There is no reason I shouldn't be able to send or receive mms over wifi only but I cannot. Tmobile says it's a samsung problem and visa versa. So? ??? My grand kids send a lot of pics and fb messenger is not an option. I receive all other data over wifi so why not mms thru text messages?

I can't receive or send messages or I can only message one person I've tried everything and I really don't want to do a hard factory reset on my phone

i know back with Sprint the one phone i can remember this happening to was Sammy phones. i have ran LG and HTC most of my life and if i had a really bad signal i could switch into airplane mode and the phone would stop trying to pull in whatever signal it couldnt find and instead pushed for wifi to handle things..the Sammy line for whatever reason could not do that (i think it had to do with their own texting app. but now they use GM so things might be different now). might have changed over the years..try switching into airplane mode..then turn on your wifi then try again and see if it improved or not.

Correct. Whenever I'm up on my Hilltop where there's no cell signal at all I have to resort to Wi-Fi calling. However that's when the problem starts when somebody sends me a screenshot or any image. Once I come down the hill and back on 4G LTE or 5G it pops right in no problems whatsoever so something to do with T-Mobile's Wi-Fi calling.

so your issue is mainly linked to wifi/WFC/texts?

from what im seeing if the problem crops up with a S21, 22 or S23 its more than likely the last Samsung security patch that was kicked out..this issue with loss of signal/data and texting issues have cropped up after said update..which if this is the case Samsung will need to get a fix on it kicked out.

My s22 has same issus. If I reboot my phone and hit send again sometimes it will come in or go out, but this is very annoying with T-Mobile wifi calling feature. When it does work, it just takes forever to receive or send an image. I have to tell people to email me instead of texting me an image. It's very frustrating.
And when I switch to the Google messages I still have problems so it's definitely the T-Mobile network.

Yes, I followed those instructions.
I've actually figured out what's going on.
El http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc URL works over the cellular network - but times out over WiFI.
And it's not just my WiFi - try e.g. https://www.isitdownrightnow.com/mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com.html. So… why is it only working over the cellular network?
