Connect Archer C54 to Sagecomm Gateway
Hello to all,
My wife has been having issues connecting her Nintendo Switch to Animal Crossing and I have read that maybe adding a router would help. I purchased a TP Link Archer C54 router and it powers and gives a network but there is no internet connection. I am using the Ethernet ports in the back of the sagecomm. I have tried everything. Any suggestions to help this router connect to the internet would be great.
Gracias,
Michael
Thank you all for your help. I traced back to a bad cable supplied by TP Link.

You don't need the internet to access the TP Link's configuration. You just need to be directly connected to it.

I can't access the routers settings to put in AP mode because there is no internet access on the router. It is giving off a network that I can connect too but there is no internet on it.

Put the TP Link in AP mode.

Yes I have internet access through the sagecomm and it works perfect. I followed all installation instructions perfectly and no luck getting the TP link to work.

@MCraig86, I want to confirm that you have internet access by using the T-Mobile Sagemcom gateway.
If so, then you should be able to take your TP-Link Archer router out of the box, follow the instructions using an ethernet cable from the WAN port of the router to one of the ethernet ports on the gateway, power on the router, and follow the prompts on the TP-Link app or web browser to configure the router.
Here is a TP-Link video to help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l86ofB2TLb0&t=24s
Let us know how it works out.
