When I joined T-Mobile, I signed a contract that binds me to their regulations. It seems that contract is one way, and only applies to me, not T-Mobile. The removal of the $5 auto-pay discount using a credit card is a breach of contract on T-Mobile's part. This company is regularly hacked. Do you really think I want to leave my banking info on their site? Besides, my credit card gives me perks for paying my cell phone bill, helping me bring the outrageously high price we pay for a so-so service. So I moved 6 lines to T-Mobile Sep 2023 and created business account. The store manager said there would be $5/line credit for linking checking account. I did that on the first day of starting the service. For few months I did not realize they were NOT giving me the $5 credit per line. I have been calling T-Mobile for 4 months each time a different excuse is given. 1st it was it has to be savings acccount so we switch but it was not that so back to checking account. Few of them credit the month I called for $30. Most recent call I escalated to supervisor and she said I am not eligible because we have 6 lines. So why am I not getting credit for 5 lines? It seems like they keep coming up with excuses not to pay this credit which is listed on their web site. Mind you I never had a credit/debit card on the account it's always been checking/savings account from day1. We are on Go5G unlimited plan. This missive is just to let you know how poor of a decision it was to require a debit card for autopay. I did not even have a debit card. Well, now I have one for the first time in my decades long credit card usage and I am highly irritated. I was going to expand my T-Mobile portfolio but I am halting this transition from Verizon. We have a total of five lines on Verizon post paid. Previously have used AT&t post paid. T-Mobile is finally available in my area, I'm doing a trial on a 12 gig prepaid connect plan. It looks like prepaid has a 10 gig and two different unlimited options that can be mixed? But I don't find any online calculator to estimate how much it would cost. (The only estimator tool shows four lines all on the same plan) We would probably do three lines on the 10 gig, 2 on the lower unlimited. I understand these plans would be QCI 6. By forcing autopay users to pay with a bank account or debit card we are going to lose the phone insurance provided by our credit cards. In my case I get a $40/month autopay discount. So I have to choose between an extra $480/year or the phone insurance on my credit card. I understand that credit card processing is more expensive than bank or debit, and I'd be happy to pay an extra 3% of my balance to pay by credit card (and thereby keep my credit card insurance benefits), but $40/month is extortionary. Can T-Mobile please reconsider this policy, and perhaps keep the autopay by credit card option for a small surcharge instead of the $40/month that I'd have to pay? Can I auto-pay my monthly T-Mobile bill from my bank savings account? The T-Mobile policy states that either a bank checking or savings is acceptable. However, while I was able to successfully setup my savings account for payment, T-Mobile could not withdraw my bill from my savings account. After encountering T-Mobile late fees and losing my auto-pay discount, I successfully setup my checking account for payment and was able to make a payment. I use my savings account to successfully make payment to other vendors and I have spoken with my bank to ensure that they haven't recently implemented additional security procedures and they have not. Spoke with T-Mobile customer service and explained my experience. They said they'd dig into what was causing the issue further and would get back to me later that day or the next. I haven't heard from them and really don't expect to. Is this issue particular to me or are there others who have experience the same? Now you want access to my bank account for me to continue to receive my auto pay discount. So if my (and the rest of us on auto pay) information is compromised the thief can drain my bank account? This seems like a huge disservice to me and all of your loyal customers. This is purely a money grab my T-Mobile. They want to save the credit card fees by screwing those of us that dropped our old carriers because T-Mobile was a "different" company. Now your plans are slowly changing to closely match the other big "screwed up" combines and now the cost is about the same so why stay with T-Mobile? Yes your map shows more pink but to be honest the phone my company provides is one of the other big carriers and T-marble works better in some areas and the other guys work better in some areas. Its really a toss up. When I call T-Mobile I used to get a local rep that was very helpful now I get the same "out of country" rep that can barley speak English and I have to repeat myself over & over and they are still not understanding me and its very frustrating.So, what is the advantage for being a T-Mobile customer?
