Wow! T-mobile is a bunch of thieves! It seems they are known to make deals in store and sell promotional offers that never seem to translate to your bill. Then they claim those offers never existed & meanwhile you are out your equipment you previously traded & now have lost the unlimited phone plans you had been grandfathered in using for previous 7 years. Only to be unable to get any manager on the phone to return your call as promised by the reps you have repeatedly wasted HOURS with on the phone! Run don't walk - RUN away from such unethical practices! I am no reading many similar stories here online exactly asit happened to me AFTER I've been with the T-mobile company for 7 years + already. My account was on a set-it and forget it but we went in to purchasenew phones at Christmas. Instead of simply allowing us to buy 2 phones billed full price at $33 each per mo(to increase our bill $66 each month total) - wewere up sold a whirlwind of complicated promo dealsbased on sales promotions pressured by the store sales reps. These new promosrequired adding a new line, trading in a iPhone XR, and upgrading to the Magenta MAX to receive a BOGO phone offer & receive aSamsung Galaxy phone discount (that we weren't even really interested in along with promotional earbuds that we knew we would never use) but we were told that this was a no brainer, since tiding their special promos,our bill will increase only $53 instead of $66 as we intended but with the promos. Claimingnow we would not only get the 2 phones, we'd get an extra phone and extra earbudsfor even LESS than the $66 we were willing to pay full price for,after thecredits were appliedon the account monthly. At checkout in the store, notonly were no earbuds insideour bag, we were charged for them on our first bill which had no promo credits and had increased $160 per month to $325. It doubled. This new bill drastically increased and wasover $100 more than agreed,plusthey turned off our Netflix & our HotSpotstopped working in this "plan upgrade!" Unfortunately I was hospitalized with Covid immediately after Christmas and the overage billing went on for months while I was unavailable to reach out and it continued to be auto-draftedfrom our bank just as it had on our account for 7 years, never once being late. After months of overcharges myhusband tried to call on my behalf while I was still on a ventilator knowing the company wascharging more than we were promised and we received far less than promised. They would not give him access to the account to discuss. After 5 months I was well enough to tend to this matter on my own & inquired why I was being over charged for both all new iPhones with no promotion credit being applied and why I was being charged for the two earbuds that were not received & my plan was increased for no benefit & I've now paid $500+ in overpayments! it took repeated phone calls but in June a rep was kind enough to walk through the entire mess and wasaware that errors were made & promised a called back from a supervisor. One did call me backand claimed they will take care of the errors and we itemized the over charges but promised another call back 24-48 hours to determine the exact amount of the credit. I never received that call back and instead of receiving the near $600 in overpay credits, I was yet againauto-deducted for the erroneous overcharges of$325 month charge AGAIN the next month, now a total of $700 of overpayments. Once again this2 hour phone calls wastefully took all my energy for zero delivery on promises. It was ultimately a literal waste of my breath as I meanwhile still fight through physical therapy after months living on a ventilator machine. Isimply want to stop wasting my time calling T-mobile for empty promises. I called the next month again & reached another rep in July 2022 who escalated to a supervisor who called back after 24-48 hours only to advise me 7 months later that I am not eligible for any of the promotions promised. That supervisor told me those promotions didn't even exist! Which I know is untrue because I looked them up online inside the T-mobile store at Christmas time to ensure I was not being made empty promises. These were real promotions that really existed on the website and we really complied with all the details to be eligible. I asked why I would have given them an iPhone XR then, and changed my plan from an $160 phone plan (already an unlimited plan) up to a $230 per mophone plan only to receive ZERO phone promotions?This holds no logic. Apparently they think I just gave them a iPhone device for no reason & willy-nillyincreased my plan just to also pay full price for both iPhones and pay full price for ebuds I never even received. Then was told I would have really needed to add TWOlines to be eligible for the free BOGO iPhone. Why in the world would I do that? I already haveone line sitting on our account that is complete unused with ZERO DATA or zero activity used each month. This is a completely unneeded line that is so unused I don't even know it's phone number &have repeatedly desired to have it turned off. Yet these reps think I wouldagree to paying $50 per month per line x 2 toadd 2 lines on our acct that we don't use? Sure let's add $100 wastefully onto the account per monthwhen I could have simply bought both phones outright at full price for $33 each per month? This makes no sense. And apparently I threw in giving them an phone XR to boot, just for fun? C'mon. Finally understanding that nobody would agree to this and it's very obvious that I was promised something different, I was adamant to speak to a supervisor that could review the previous calls to complete the promises previously made or to find my check-out paperwork that would summarize the promotions and plans that I agreed to in the store. I was promised a call back in 24-48 hours from a supervisor and still have heard nothing back. They get away with empty promises & you can not even reach these representatives back after they fail to deliver their solutions as promised since all they do is message you their contact infoname "EsmileDwayneE" by text after each call, claiming you can reach them back butyou absolutely can never reach them back & they also do not call you back as promised - so instead nothing gets resolved and you continue paying indefinitely a wrong overcharge amount on auto-pay. Until of course, you finally remove your account from auto-pay just as I finally had to do - in order to stop their license to steal. With T-mobile having access to draft my account on auto-pay and their ability to charge any amount they desire without upholding the promotions they promise and adding new lines that are unused, stealing old devices without any credits, and adjusting to more expensive plans - they have taken upwards of $700 too much from my account and will not follow through to rectify. After spending hours on the phone during a comical onboarding experience i just cancelled my account due to my available credit not allowing me to get 5 phones to replace the phone phones i have with Verizon ( all on a financing program ) Lets be clear - If Tmobile will not finance 5 phones to me i don't know who could. I am fanatical about my scores, monitoring etc and go from 840 on a bad month to 850. I asked them to check if they ran into a freeze, i asked them to figure out what was going on. I just kept getting check with your credit company which i have on my phone and pay monthly for. After a few calls and getting the same run around i simply decided to cancel my order. I only moved to Verizon due to price. I actually missed some of the Tmobile features and benifits. But if it means i have to put hefty down payments on 2 phones or buy them outright theres no benifit for me to switch back. There is currently a deal on the website that says iphone15 "on us" when you upgrade or already have a go5g plus plan and a trade-in device. However, when I tried to do the upgrade online, it's showing a $650 down payment. When I asked customer service about this, I was told that "the charge is based on taxes and activation fees and my credit limit is low, so my down paymentis higher." Online it says the activation fee is $35, and the sales tax for this phone in my state would only be about $56, for a total of about $100-ish. I brought this to the attention of customer service and was told that mine is different because of my credit. But if the phone is free, why is there a down payment involved? I should only be paying the fee and taxes, not for the phone itself. I tried to keep asking questions but was told that they already explained it to me in detail and that is the basic Tmobile policy. I asked for them to send me the link to the policy or email it to me, but I got no response. Has anyone else experienced this? So I guess every T-Mobile customer has a $80 credit limit they will give you to charge in app purchases and such, like on Google play. I used mine up in July but the charges don't come until September I was told, which was correct I paid my usual amount for Bill this month. Now it's a new billing cycle period on Aug. 28 and I should have my credit able to charge up to a new $80. But so far it's not letting me ??? I'm confused, because this is a new billing cycle correct?? Last billing cycle went to Aug. 27, now it's 28th And there is no reset on mine. Checking to see if other small business in the community are being scammed out of their credits for switching services to T-Mobile. We never received our promised $4,000 in credits (yes, it is four thousand, no extra zeros, no exaggeration). Even after over 6 months - ever few weeks / billing cycle - it is surprise and shock when we have to inform T-mobile the credits did not postdespite assurance someone will be watching the account closely to make sure it happens. We get hold of sales & transition team - surprise and shock…. then bumping starts - it was never one to two billing cycles it was 90 days, it was not 90 days it was sometime between 90 days to 6 months, then it is after 90 days but over course of 10 billing cycles…. we reached all the milestones NOTHING ! Now they have started splitting hairs…. when we ported-in our lines we did not keep all the old numbers, we got additional lines as part of a10 line promotion, but the promotion for 10 new lines did not cover new activation …. WTF - you sold it to me, you were part of ever step of the service transition, you never made any distinction, it was come one come all, bring your old line, bring your old phone, get a new line, get a new phone - justsign-up for service with T-Mobile,what's with all this pretense after the transition ? For last 6 months when we kept getting confirmation credits will post - no one knew these fine differentiation. Customer care (Business Expert) are equally frustrating, they will keep you on the phone for 30 to 40 minutes and then claim it needs further research and they will call back in in 1 to 2 business days. Nothing comes out of it… no call back. Call again, new rep…narrate everything again (as if all the notes other rep typed have disappeared from the record)… another 30 to 40 minutes…. in the end same outcome. Request escalation no response. Request contact information for someone in management - no response. Checking to see if we are an exception or this is common. Hopefully I can shrink this into a cohesive question. I am currently in Wichita working a project. I took a fall down stairs and landed on my phone. "I can actually say that Apple saved my butt" My iPhone was shattered and bent. I also fell hard enough to shatter my laptop screen while it was in my backpack… I went to the local T-Mobile store and inquired what my options were. I carry insurance but with work I could not really go without a phone. I talked to an Assurant agent on the phone and had to put the brakes on her real fast. She wanted to flip through her guide and ship me a replacement to my house 1300 miles away. I told her I had to have a phone where I was and would assurant credit me or pay me the value of my phone in lieu of replacement. I got complete silence. Tried to explain the situation again and got I'm sorry and more silence… In the end I had to buy an new iPhone 14 outright and pay an activation fee. Before I call customer service and assurant again, Do you guys think this was the proper outcome or did the local T-Mobile agents or Assurant customer service drop the ball? I tried many times to order the Samsung S23 Ultra monthsago and it never went through (Samsung and Tmobile had web isssues - well documented here). I finally did order it and got the 56$ trade-in and the $1k credit for Magenta Max. However my account had a few trade-in requests pending - maybe from the orders that never went through as it took me (and others) weeks of trying).Idid mail my old S20Ultra and they they saidthey got it and applied the credit. However instead of seeing my typical $8 monthly payment for the S23 there is now a 50$ charge. What the heck! A few week ago a Chat rep said they would have to charge me the higher installments since my trade-in was not acceptable (the phone was perfect and they even sent me email about that). But that credit was only $56. They $1k credit was for being Magenta Max that lowered my installments to $8/24 months. What is going on with Tmobile? CHat indicates an issue with my trade in. what!/ the trade in was perfect …Tmobile cannot reverse everything without proof! This is outrageous…they can just lie about the trade in…. but it was only worth 56$ ……but they seemed to reverse the $1k credit for Magenta max also. This sounds so much like a bait and switch.. How can this provider continue to shut down service at 2200 and remain off untill 0600 everynight and bill for a month service. If they are only going to provide half the service they offer why should customers pay monthly. Either cut the bill in half or bill every other month. It is illegal to steal in the United States.
