slow internet

My home internet sucks!!! I wish I would've stayed with the cable company. It's always kicking us in and out of internet connection. We have to unplug it multiple times a day. And if it's raining or snowing it's worst. When I call they always say they're working on the tower but it's been months if this. Not to mention I can't connect my printer to the WiFi so my business is suffering behind this. Does anyone have any solutions to the sucky connection and how to connect to the printer?4.1KViews8likes17Comentariosslow data, dropped calls, service unavailable
Start off by saying TMobile sucks. Switched from Verizon Samsung S8 to Tmobile Samsung 20 5G. 1 ST WEEK. Minor network issues, just thought it was trying to see my usage. 2nd week, went back to Costco t-mobile hub for Failed to send text messages and slow!! Speeds. The reset network settings. 4th week. Returned back to Costco for same issues. They game me new Sim cards 6th week. Called t-mobile service, they said 5G doesn't work in Los Angeles, hmm. To switch to 4g. 6th week. Returnwd to Costco, they said 5g works in Los Angeles. Gave me 2 new phones. 7th week. Dead zones inside buildings. Dropped calls. No service calling out. At home wifi slow speeds. Kb data speeds. 8th week, called t-mobile, same thing they reset network settings and said they are "pushing" keys on their side. 9th week. T mobile does a factory reset, again. 10th week. T.mobile says the 5g has been down. 11th week. T mobile finally transfers me to Samsung service. Advise to take it to ibreakufix authorized repair shop. 12th week. The shop does a OS flash, but all my settings and pics and messages remain. Did they really Flash it or just do another factory reset 13th week. Every issue still exist. So freaking frustrating. My friends government phone, is faster and more reliable. My mom's bf cricket wireless is better. Just going to go back to Verizon. Wanted to see if it was a phone issue or network. BTW this happend to Two phones.1.5KViews3likes18ComentariosUpload speeds much faster than download speeds
So I recently switched to T-Mobile Home internet since it advertises good speeds and no data caps. When I first set up the gateway, I was shocked. Speeds were blazing fast. I was consistently getting speeds between 70mbps and 170mbps. This went on for roughly 6 weeks, and then the service became completely unusable. Speeds were consistently below 1mbps and on a good day I could make it into the teens. I called customer support just about every day trying to sort things out, but got nowhere. Ifinally got a call from an engineer who said, "I should expect varying speeds based on my location" and closed out my case. Not a single person can tell me why everything worked so well but then tanked. I then called and had them send me a new gateway device. I set it up and speeds were again in the 60-100 range for about 2 days, and then went back to being unusable. I then started to notice that most tests showed my upload speeds to be significantly higher than my download. I also set up a fan to rule out overheating which has made little to no difference. Today, I decided to see if my signal could be the issue, so I drove to the base of the 5g tower in my city plugged in my gateway with full bars of connectivity and ran a speed test. My results showed my download speed at 2.62mbps and my upload at 59.3 mbps. I ran the test several times over about a 30 minute period on both mine and my wife's phone and got very similar results on every single test. I'm holding out for Starlink and will be abandoning TMobile as soon as possible if they can't resolve this issue, but in the mean time, I would like to know if anyone has any ideas as to why these speeds are so backwards or possibly have suggestions for things I can do to try to fix the issue myself.5.3KViews3likes15Comentariosslow 5g gateway the last 2 weeks
I was getting 300 to 400 mbps download for my 5g gateway. The last couple weeks it's only been 1-2 during the day and tmobile claimed to be doing site modernization. I called the tech support twice already and they have no solutions for the slow internet. Anyone else can help?179Visto2likes2Comentarios5G internet Fast and Reliable When!?
I signed up for the home internet, I live in a small town in western Washington. I decided to get it because my 5G phone gets 80+ mbs down with really nice latency. So I get the box, I get a great 5 bar connection and for a couple days I experienced 80+ mbs down. I'm almost half way through my 14 day trial. During the day and on weekends, I see 0.28 mbps while my phone, right beside the box, gets 80+. For days now I've been testing and testing. At night itimproves for a few hours before it's back to nothing during core work hours. I don't see a point in customer supportpeople across the planet with scripted responses. They wont directly access the box and they wont alleviate any throttling, theysay "the tower is being worked on" or send another box, and all it does is buy time till my trial is over. Am I missing something here? Most people who seem to have an ok experience with the internet live in metro areas where they don't even need it and have other options such as cable. It's advertised to help connect people in more rural locations except it's actually worse than the ancient 3mb dsl option.294Visto2likes3ComentariosSlow Home Internet
I've been using the home internet service since the beginning of March. It had been working really well, with me getting speeds between 25-100 mbps, which I've been super happy with since I'm in a rural area and it's hard to find internet that works here. However, since the beginning of June, my speeds have been around very inconsistent, but around 1mbps more often than not. Previously when my speeds were that slow, a simple restart would fix it. But I have rebooted/restartedthe device many, many times,as well as trieddoing a factory reset a couple times. Sometimes these things help..for a short period of time. Most of the time they don't change anything.Sometimes, after rebooting/restarting, my speeds will go back to 10-25mbps for anywhere from aminute to a few days, but will then revert back to around 1 mbps.I've also moved the device around my house to see if I got a better signal elsewhere, which also did not help. I thought my device was overheating, so I've been using a fan to cool it, which hasn't seemedto change anythingeither.I contacted T-Mobile support when I first started having issues, but they just sent me the gateway troubleshooting guide with everything I havealready tried, so I don't have a lot of faith in them being able to help me if I contact them again. Does anyonehave any idea why this is happening or know of anything else I can try? I'm just getting frustrated at this point, but don't have a lot of internet options where I live so I want to make this work if I can. Thanks in advance.3.1KViews2likes22ComentariosNew home Internet customer. Disappointed with speeds so far
I installed my 5688 fast Gateway this morning at about 5am. I was able to find the sweet spot in reception looking due East. I put the gateway outside my garage door at about 3 ft off the ground and was getting 4/5 bars reception and 130mbps down. That was pretty good so I moved back inside and found the closest window on the north east corner of my shop building and after spinning it around and taking speed tests, my best performance was 3/5 bars and 90 mbps. Unfortunately I don't have an East facing window… Cut to today at 4pm and I'm now getting 10 mbps down and less. I am in a metal building and realize the challenges this presents, but I would expect better speeds, or at least close to what I was getting this morning. Also this morning we had clear skies and this afternoon its cloudy. Not sure howatmospheric conditions effect signal in 5g comms. Any thoughts? Thanks, Jeff227Visto2likes2Comentariosconsistent internet failures 5g

Just got my Tmobile home internet 3 days ago. my friends across town same distance from the tower than me get 80Mbps + I am currently getting 0.13MBPs up and 0.53 Down .. . I have already called tech support they had me run several tests and resets and my speed got worse how in the hell are you going to advertise 50MBPs plus and not even provide 1% of that in the first week!? I have 4 bars of signal and I cant even get 1 MBPs?! If this isnt fixed immediately I will be fighting for a 100% refund including my rushed shipping we are stuck on Hugesnet and have no other options so this seemed like a dream come true. . .nope more false advertising from another company promising rural internet just a bust if you dont live in or near a big city you just get the shaftSolved878Visto2likes12Comentarioswhy has my home internet service gotten so much worse?
We are long-time customers of T Mobile home internet, going back to the invitation-only plan. When we first joined, our speeds were as advertised, and we never had problems with the router freezing, performing well below advertised, etc. Two months ago, roughly, we switched to the new router, since 5G coverage had arrived in our community. We even agreed to pay the higher monthly charge ($60 as opposed to $50) so we could acquire the newer technology, despite the fact that we were customers in good standing for many years. Our service has not only decreased in speed, but it freezes constantly, doesn't allow me to use the home internet app, which shuts down and restarts constantly, and generally behaves like a much-inferior product. My son, who is 18 and likes to play computer games, went so far as to tell me he wished we could return to our previous internet service. When I said we couldn't go back to the old T Mobile LTE router, he replied, "No, I meant the service before THAT." Which was a fixed wireless service that maxed out at 6 mbps. And there was no sarcasm intended. When I get online to look for answers, it seems like the issues we're having are being repeated over and over. If we could get the 40 mbps of our LTE router we would be overjoyed. Is there any advice on how to fix such systemic problems?931Visto2likes4Comentarios
