5G Home Internet is available at your address – But spots are limited!

I was checking Home internet availibility and got 5G Home Internet is available at your address – But spots are limited! message.

What is spots are limited?

Does it mean Cell tower crouded with too many users?

  • T-Mobile Home Internet runs on the extra capacity on their wireless network. In some areas, they have extra capacity on the network, in others they don't.  They allocate access to Home Internet on a sector-by-sector, home-by-home basis. As extra capacity is added it is made available to TMHI - they project/estimate the number of additional users that can be supported. Once the extra capacity is exhausted, they quit adding new households. So it's a constantly shifting dynamic and it's important to note that TMHI users are prioritized last when capacity is exhausted during peak usage periods, which is why a constant complaint here is that TMHI started out great but a year later it's slow…  T-Mobile oversold existing capacity in most cases.
