Gateway Arcadyan

I got mine 2 days ago. I set it up with a new password.

When I unplugged it to find a better spot, I couldn't connect to it

It ends up that when you unplug it, it reverts to the factory default password and you have to do the setup from scratch.

Any one else having this problem?

No issues on my end, just got mine yesterday but i do recommend that you press and hold the little reset button in the back of the device until the screen counts down from 5 seconds to 1 and then restarts; after that, go through the process of set up but don't change any settings until the unit is fully activated.

Once that's done, go back to the T-Mobile home internet app and change the settings to your desired input and the gateway should restart and work just fine; Keep in mind, you don't need to unplug the unit all the time, especially if you're moving it an inch or two away from your window to get better service.

  • i was experiencing the same situation after having the device for about 12 days without any issues well not major issues. A few days ago it started resetting the password and giving no connected errors on all devices. My question is do you is what type of devices are connecting to the device and if you conncet via a computer? What if any additions or changes have you done to the device via the online portal or app? I have done some troubleshooting that has fixed the issue and intend to share the solution if it will assist you in any manner.

I had two of the arcadia modems neither worked they are a piece of junk.  Support can't do anything to help you they can only be kind.  I would never recommend this gateway.  Save yourself a headache

  • The Arcadyan gateway does not have a battery like the Nokia gateway. The battery in the Nokia is not very large and can only drive the cellular radio alone so it is limited. With the Arcadyan gateway having a long extension cord to move it about is the only way to go to test various locations.

If the release 1.0.0 is any indication of the maturity well, below is a link to the “manual”.

I would keep an ethernet cable handy to connect to the Arcadyan to access the web interface.

It might be that if you were using the mobile application the "save" did not take place after configuration setup. If you are connected with an Ethernet cable via the http://192.168.12.1 connection and save the setup it should hold it. I am not a huge fan of the mobile application as I find it crashes or freezes on my iPhone 12 Pro at least 50% of the time.

I attached a PDF of the Arcadyan user guide if you want it. I just exported it as a PDF.

Confirm the code revision the Arcadyan gateway is running on. It might need an upgrade to make it behave. You could contact support to confirm if it is upgraded or not.

Arcadyan KVD21 1.00.14 to 1.00.16 <(This seems to be the most recent version I can see.)
