home internet service gateway

Ever since my 5G gateway's firmware update I have had very inconsistent internet, especially during games. Meanwhile, I can connect my device to my phone's hotspot and have a better online gaming experience. Isn't it running on the same network? Why is my phone's internet better than my gateway? It's sad because the gateway solved a lot of problems for me in my area. It's getting to the point to where I don't do the things I like to do anymore because the experience is so bad, and I'm heavily considering going back to my original ISP. At least the bad internet would be consistent! Does anyone have a fix? Should I exchange my unit, wait for an update, or just abandon ship? Thanks in advanceSolved329Visto3likes2ComentariosI wish the T-Mobile Home Internet Gateway was JUST a modem!!!
I just left Breezeline due to horrible service for over a month, and when it went out from home, my T-Mobile iPhone became my hotspot. After realizing it was more reliable than my landline Internet, I tried the T-Mobile Home Internet. I was shocked to get 700 down and 60 up, consistently, so after two weeks of successful stress testing I dropped Breezeline. With that said, here are my two main frustrations: I have a UniFi network with several APs in my home all connected to a UniFi switch and UniFi router… I am sure you can see where I'm going with this… 1) I do not need theSagemcom Fast 5688W router OR 2) its WiFi. You cannot disable WiFi on the unit, or put it into bridge mode to bypass the router. I have tried getting into the device with no luck. So now, I have a double NAT situation and the T-Mobile gateway is emitting frequencies that are going unused. This is a huge oversight on T-Mobile's end. T-Mobile, if you read these, I know a few people using your home internet, and they're all complaining of the same thing - Forums are also littered with this feedback as well - Please listen. Allow 1) Turning the WiFi radios off, and 2) bypass the gateway's routing using a bridge mode (I think that will work). This is very disappointing that it's so locked down, but with that said, I am happy with the reliability. I just would love to see some additional functionality added as I'm sure I'm not the only person using my own router or mesh system with their gateway. If anyone has any suggestions would love to hear. ¡Gracias!8.9KViews5likes16ComentariosG4AR no internet
Hi I'm replacing a KVD21 Gateway with a G4AR Gateway because of location to use an external antenna. When I hook up the G4AR on the screen it shows 3 bars and says good connection but also shows "no internet". When I look at the Advanced Cellular Metrics in the App it does not show a Cell Tower. I'm not sure if it is because it shows Firmware version 1.00.02 instead of .09. ButT-Mobile can'tupdate the firmware without the internet connection. Thanks for any help on this.175Visto0likes4ComentariosHome Internet, stuck on setup menu but it is working
My T-Mobile Home Internet is working, but I want to make a change. I use a PC and Ethernet connection. Whenever I go into the admin menu, I get the new setup menu and not the normal admin one with all the settings. I try to go through the setup, but it gets stuck at the point when I have to scan the QR on the device, it keeps failing. Then it wants me to do the Ethernet setup using the app on the phone. That doesn't even make sense, how can I connect my phone to an Ethernet port and how can I use the app on my PC when they don't make an app for the PC. (no one on their phone tech line even understands the basics of networking or telephony.) Once again, T-Mobile has be stuck. For the last 3 days, none of my devices have connectivity to the internet. The gateway shows that devices are connected. T-Life shows that no devices are connected. I have to do a hard reboot - take power cord out for 10 seconds, and then will finally get internet. Whatever is happening, is occurring early morning - around 4 am central time. I had this same issue a few years ago and posted in this forum but I cannot find the resolution. The issue is definitely on TMobile's end. Very frustrating.82Visto0likes1ComentarioMESH Extender - Solid White Light
The MESH has a solid white light. No matter what I do, I cannot get to blink white for set-up. This unit was working fine for nearly two months, now it just has a solid white light and doesn't connect. Tried resetting the gateway, unplugging the MESH, hooked up via ethernet cable, and the reset button. Nothing works.Solved5.1KViews3likes18ComentariosThe USB-C LAN port is a lie.
Looking at the hardware's documentation. I see the secondary USB-C port is actually a LAN port. Upon discovery, I immediately try to connect my laptop to the port. Telling myself, "Hey! Finally a way to free up an outlet on my power strip", but no. It is a straight up lie. Not only does the USB-C port need a power source to even "boot"/"start" (Honestly not a problem, the USB-C port on my laptop is the charge port). Upon connection, all that the port does is power cycle my laptop. I even trieda USB-C to USB-Ato see if the LAN actually works. No, no it doesn't. It literally does nothing. If you don't provide power to that USB-C LAN port, that port will not even turn on. What is the point exactly?1.2KViews2likes4Comentarios
