Hello everyone! I am in desperate need of help. I recently bought a Nintendo Switch and am trying to access online play. I always get an error message when I try to access online play. The error typically says something about my NAT type causing the issue. MyT-Mobile router (Arcadyan KVD21) seems to have NAT type B. I was told that I could just access my router settings on my computer and enable UPnP. However, when I type in my IP address I do not see any router settings to change. All I see is connection status/quality and some gateway information. Basically all I see is exactly what is in the T-mobile home internet app.Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I've had T-Mobile home internet a few months. I was told service in my area was iffy butdecided to take the risk. They were upgrading the tower near me. That caused outages but I hung in there. The Sagemcom gateway was frequently going into standby mode, too. It would show connected to the tower but not provide internet to connected Wi-Fi devices though devices could talk to each other through the local network. After a time the gateway became more reliable only requiring a reboot every couple of days. There wasa two month window with good internet. Then the gateway starting going into standby again and T-Mobile replaced it with theArcadyan. TheArcadyan is extremely reliable but not nearly as fast. Unfortunately theArcadyan will not service a great number of Wi-Fi connections. I have ten Google Nest Mini speakers and group play would not work with theArcadyan. I have many other devices, too. As a test I connected my 12 year old Buffalo router. It has 2.4 and 5 g bands. It services all the Wi-Fi connectionsjust fine. I sometimes haddevice connection issues with the Sagemcom, too. I guess the Sagemcom handled it better. Having hooked up the old router and seeing how it solved connection issues I know both the Sagemcom and Arcadyan have that problem. So I'm going to buy the latest technology Wi-Fi router and turn theWi-Fi radios off on theArcadyan. There's a script to do that. I can easily decide on a new router. While doing research I thought about replacing the T-Mobile supplied gateway, too. Since the Sagecom is faster than theArcadyan I am thinking there may be other brands that work with T-Mobile. Talking to T-Mobile they said I could try a Nokia for $35 fee. On Amazon I saw aYeacomm 5G Modem AX3600 and aNETGEAR Nighthawk M6 5G WiFi 6 Mobile Hotspot Router (MR6150). It says theNETGEAR Nighthawk is certified to work with T-Mobile. Home internet 5G is different from phone 5G and has a radio just for that on the tower, I was told. I recently got an Arcadyan KVD21 Gateway on a new T-Mobile home internet line and my download speed constantly below 100 Mbps, whereas on my Nokia Gateway on another T-Mobile home internet line, it's usually over 360 Mbps. Both lines are in same location. I am getting N41 band on both Gateway. Any tips to troubleshoot the issue? Is the Nokia Gateway better over Arcadyn ? I have the option of exchanging my Aradyan gateway for a Sagemcom. Which is a better gateway for the home internet? I have the Arcadyan gateway whic h seems to work ok for the most part. My issue is the ethernet speed compared to the wireless speed. With wireless I usually get over 100MBS. With ethernet usually the best I can do is rougly 20MBS. No way should wired be slower than wireless. I know it is not my computer as I have not yet cancelled my Xfinity service and I get around 920MBS with Xfinity. Is it the hardware in the Arcadyan or the firmware that T-Mobile is using? And what would be the advantage of slowing down the ethernet ports? I, like a lot of people, only want to plug my existing router into the gateway so I don't have to reconfigure my home network. T-Mobile support says the only option at this time is a replacement with another Arcadyan. I would like to try the Sagemcom but right now that doesn't seem to be an option. I have ArcadyanKVD21, and while I am thoroughly impressed with the speeds from the device on the T-Mobile 5G network, I am disgusted by the lack of any ability to properly manage & (more importantly)secure thisdevice. This trade between speed and security is insulting and offensive to me as a technologically adeptSecurity professional, andexacerbatedby the fact thatT-Mobile continues to fail when tasked with protecting user account PII data. The inability to perform certain key functions completely disappoints me. Below are the primary issues and concerns,which *MUST* be resolved to keep me as a customer: Cannot perform setup /administrativetasks via wired interface. Current (internal)web interface only offers a "basic" informational portal. Cannot completely disable (turn off) WiFi, (likely due to the above). What (few) administrative tasks that are available, requires:download &installation of a worthless"mobile app", which also requires the device be connected to the local WiFi network. Current administrative functions are limited to 3 tasks,changingthe:administrative password, WiFi password, orname of the WiFi SSID. T-Mobile Internet app losesany/allfunctionalitybeyond the local network. If the gateway is connected to the internet, and the device with the app is as well, then there should be no valid reason to require "local" access, especially if the next point is true… As this prevents a parental/guardianauthority from managing the device while travelingoroutside the home (at work). T-Mobile app does not permit multiple instances of the app to be logged in with the same account/credentials. I use TMobile 5G gateway (10Mbps) as a failover internet WAN. My prime WAN is from Xfinity Cable (1gbps). Failover is handled by a Ubiquiti UDM Pro which is my main router / firewall. My WAPs are then plugged in to that router through my house. The Arcadian KVD21 i was sent my TMobile used to have the option on the router admin page to turn off the WiFi signal that the Gateway generates, but seems that option isn't available anymore on the mobileApp from Tmobile internet or on the router page 192.168.12.1 For reasons of security and reducing wireless signal interference, I would really like to shut down that TMobile gateway's wifi signal without having to go in and unplug the antennas within the device, or alternatively have a means to turn down the signal strength, or even get a TMobile gateway that has no WiFi signal generation. Please help if you can. Sadly i wasn't able to speak with anyone who understands networks at TMobile home internet tech support. I have read about how to add an external antenna to the KVD21 and am a little nervous. Instead, has anyone removed the SIM card from the KVD21 and put it in a different router that has antenna ports? MyArcadyan KVD21 Gateway keeps dropping internet giving spotty service. It shows full bars, 5G even on the app shows it has internet. But my devices constantly show "no internet". I've been on the phone with support all day yesterday, Saturday. My phone is also T-Mobile, had slow to no service all day. It's a little better now. So after resetting our network they told us there are no outages in my area. Everything on their end looked good. They finally transfer me to Colorado Springs I talked to a supervisor and everything. They send us to a store to get a new sim card. Same issue when we got home. They had us warranty a newArcadyan KVD21 Gateway. Its worked longer than the other one so far. At first it disconnected after 10 mins. Then a hour. When I woke up today is disconnects every 2 hours from the internet. They're supposed to do another wellness call today so we'll see what happens. My 5G modem (arcadyan) keeps randomly losing 5G connection. It happens randomly and once or twice a month. When it loses 5G, it switches to 4G which works but is obviously slower. There are cases where 4G also slows downs to a few kb/s. The only solution is to unplug and restart. Another problem is that I have my own router connected through Ethernet. I don't use the T-Mobile modem wifi. Whenever I restart the modem, 5G won't come up if the Ethernet cable is plugged. The only way to get 5G is to restart the modem with Ethernet unplugged and connect Ethernet once the modem locked on 5G. Sounds like bad firmware on that modem. Am I the only one experiencing this ? Obviously T-Mobile customer service has no clue. The only thing they suggest is to restart the modem.200Visto1like5Comentarios
