TMobile home internet

So we have had T-Mobile Home Internet for the last 8months. We live out in the country & had a hard time finding a provider. It either didn't exist or they put limits on the data. We were happy to find T-Mobile & even happier that it was unlimited! I work from home. Well today our internet was shut off & I received an email stating it was suspended. There was no reason for this…we were current on our bill & everything. I called them & was informed I wasn't using my Gateway where i originally signed up & they had an old address of mine on file as my current address which I had never given to them. Anyways we got that straightened out but then I was informed that unlimited coverage wasn't available at my address so I can switch to the Lite plan. I was like what do u mean it's not available?!? We've had it for the last 8 months & we're still currently on the unlimited!! It IS AVAILABLE! I was informed that as of June 2024 T-Mobile has the right to change the availability of any service at a specific location at any time!! So I've been paying $60/month for unlimited & now I can receive the Lite plan & be maxed out at 100MB for the same price!! How is this right?!!? Not only that but the connection at our location had started to get bad & when I was working & someone would turn on a TV my connection to work would go in & out & customers would say I was breaking up & they couldn't hear me. I think it was bc we live so far out & since it's summertime all of the trees have filled out with leaves now & they're blocking the signal more than it was in the winter time. We always had a good/excellent signal in the winter & it's always a weak/poor now. We were gonna get another Gateway & another internet plan & have my computer on its own internet plan. I have a VPN so it uses a lot of power. They would've had 2 accounts with us! Now that they pulled this crap with us we're leaving!  This is a bunch of bull! How can they just up & decide to rip unlimited away from u that you've had for the past 8 months!!  T-Mobile is a joke!!!

  • Not a good story.  I was a "Lite" subscriber for about a year (200 GB @ $100 per month) until I was finally able to switch to unlimited, which is far, far better value (if you can get it).   I will say that I checked daily if 5G unlimited was available at my address, and one day it showed it was, and I jumped on it.  A day or two later, it was showing as unavailable again.  I think it is resource-limited at any given tower location and you can to be quick to get an available slot.  In your case, it may be your "new" tower has no available slots at the moment.
