Re: Home internet went from 200mbps download to 5mbps.
You should check your connection metricswith the TM Internet App. It could be you've lost your 5G service for some reason. It will also tell you what tower your connected to and what your 4G LTE and 5G signal strengths are. It's a start to understanding.49Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Connect to tv
If your TV is older, it may not support the 5 GHz band on the TM gateway. Since, by default, the gateway uses a single SSID for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, you have gotten lucky when the TV originally was connected. Try setting up a new channel that is only 2.4 GHz with a unique SSID that you can refer to when you try to connect your TV.34Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: My download speeds just tanked big time. Going on 2 days with 2mb download speeds
You should take a look at the TM Internet app and see if something is changing when you get good service versus poor service. It may be that 5G is dropping out, or perhaps there is network congestion, and they are switching towers on your service.98Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: 4-got password

The Echo should only need your WiFi passworrd….not the router password. You can change it in the TM Home Internet App.40Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: tmobile data limits scam
It's the Internet Lite plans that have data-caps, not the 5G Unlimited plans. 5G Unlimited reduces your priority when you hit 1.2 TB, bit there is nodata-cap throttling. The lite planshave strict data-cap limits depending on what plan you have (I had a 200GB plan 2 years ago before I could switch to 5G Unlimited). When you hit the data-cap, your speeds indeed are reduced to sub GB/sec speeds. Suitable for an e-mail check but not for much else.115Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: 5G home internet or 5G plus?
I don't believe the Plus plan has any faster or "higher capacity" access to the cellular network. It's just that it offers satellite nodes tocreate a mesh network inside your home. If your house is big, that can be helpful as it "may" give you a stronger signal inside your home and avoid "dead zones". It is hard to say if you need that or not. If you had a prior mesh router in your home and felt you needed that, it may be the way to go. Your house is "big enough" that it may benefit. The 2.4 GHz bands will probably reach throughout your house, but it is likely the 5GHz bands will not. I have a 5000 sq ft 2-level house and the 2.4 GHz bands can reach everywhere, including my outside security cameras. The 5 GHz bandis only available in a couple of rooms near the router. Speeds on the 2.4 GHzband can support hi-def video (1080p x 60 fps), so it is still a pretty "fast" band, but if you have 4K TVs located far from your router, you will likely need a mesh network solution.347Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Is Home Internet unreliable for everyone?
I'm in a rural part of NC and have had TMHI for about 2 years. I give it pretty high marks, especially considering the price. There have been a few occasions where the service has dropped out or hasbeen slow, but that has been quite rare. A few months ago, a fiber service became available at my address, but it's about 10 bucks a month more thanTMHI. So far, I have no reason to switch. I realize as a cellular service everyone's experience is different, but I would rate my experienceas very good.43Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Home Internet speed Extreme fluctuations - from 800mbps to 10mbps
You may be able to have them remove the problem tower from your authorized list by giving them a call. The TM Internet app can give you the CGI number of the towers you are connected to at any particular time for reference,40Visto0likes0Comentarios
