texting error
10 TopicsT-Mobile Error 2 Texting Galaxy S22
My LG V60 Thinq was having trouble sending and/or receiving text messages so I stopped in to the store. Was told my V60 was too old to even get updates anymore so I needed to get a new phone. I chose the Galaxy S22 because it kept me in the same price range I was in. The S22 is now having the same issue - T-Mobile Error 2. I have done every fix I can find including deleting massive amounts of my pictures and music because it said I was out of storage room and that was causing the issue. I now have over 30G available storage and am still unable to get or send texts. Sometimes, I can reboot the phone and a ton of the missing messages come through but then it will not let me send a reply. ALSO, the S22 has no expandable memory so I'm stuck with the 128G and still can't have all my pics/videos/music. I've been to the store (different ones) 3 times now and no one has helped. About 2 years ago, people's phone numbers began showing up as phone#@vtext.net, phone#@text.att.net, or phone#@tmomail.net, etc when I received SMS texts on WIFI calling on my Tmobile Samsung devices. The problem is that my text responses to these number-email combinations do not go through or end up garbled on the recipients end. I have called about this problem and Tmobile seems to have no idea how to fix this. And there appears to be no way to reverse these number-emails back to just phone numbers once this error has occurred. Even worse, more and more of my contacts have become these strange phone-email hybrids and I can no longer directly respond to texts with them. FOR EVERY TEXT RESPONSE I HAVE TO CREATE A NEW MESSAGE, CHOOSE THEIR PHONE NUMBER FROM MY CONTACTS AND SEND! It's absolutely ridiculous and frustrating. Fortunately WhatsApp and others exist but a phones BASIC SMS function should work without this kind of error! I know of no other person on any other carrier that has this problem. Please fix Tmobile!Solved6.5KViews0likes18ComentariosWhy am I receiving texts from the future?
I'm recieving Texts with a Future Time Stamp. Last night/Morning at 1:28 am I received texts from 2 different people that were replys froma text I sent them over2 weeks ago. The texts I recieved are stamped with todays date but the time is stamped for hours later. These texts caused a panic last night when my recently brokenhearted Brother's text only said "Blew up" Thank goodness my level headed Husband open the text conversation. Can anyone tell me what I can do or check so that doesn't happen again? P.S. I live in Oregon. the time is currently 9:00 am on April 22nd and I have a Sprint Galaxy Note 93.1KViews0likes1ComentarioDisable MMS/Texting over WiFi
So I have the dreaded sporadic issues sending an receiving text message while connected to WiFi. Since there seems to be no solution, T-Mobile sent me a 4G hotspot for my house. While in theory that's fine, I have better cell service in the house, I still want to use WiFi for my data. I have high speed internet for a reason. OK. To the point.I don't want to turn WiFi off. That seems pointless. What I want to do is to Only Use Cellular Network for Texting, but I can't findany way to do so. I turned off WiFi calling, but that was never an issue. It actually worked fine. What I want may not be possible. Just curious if there is perhaps a Setting I'm not aware of. I have a Samsung Galaxy 21 Ultra. Latest version of Android. I use the stock Samsung texting app (which could be the issue). TIA2.7KViews0likes49ComentariosGalaxy S23 ultra not receiving certin text messages
Hello all, my girlfriend recently ported a number in from verizon. She got a galaxy s23 ultra. The problem we are having is she isn't able to receive text messages from Snapchat,Facebook and many others to verify her account. She is receiving texts from personal phone numbers (all carriers and iOS and android are working fine). We have double checked the phone number and it is correct. We also tried factory resting the phone and not doing any kind of transfer, we have tried different default messaging apps, we tried restarting the device multiple times, checked spam and made sure no numbers were blocked, we made sure all permissions were enabled, also tried uninstalling the apps and then reinstalling them, also checked to make sure no spam calls and texts were blocked on the spam app. And lastly we were able to send an a verification from her Snapchat to my number so it doesn't seem to be an app problem. Any fixes or suggestions? Many thanks!Solved1.1KViews1like1ComentarioCannot receive text from one contact, not even showing up in line usage
I recently bought a new phone, Galaxy S21, and now I cannot receive texts from specifically my daughter's phone. She can receive mine, I can't receive hers. We are on the same phone plan, she also has a Galaxy S21 phone, she is not blocked on my phone, we can call each other, but only she can receive my texts. We shared screenshots on another app to compare, and her texts to me show delivered on her end. When I look at our TMobile bill line usage for our numbers, I can see the outgoing text to me on her line, but no incoming text from her on my line. I experimented with blocking another number and having them text me, to see if it would show up in line usage as incoming text, despite being blocked by my phone, and it does. My daughter's texts to me do not show up at all. Does anyone know what would cause her incoming text to me to not show up on my line usage? It's not getting to my phone, but it is not even being recognized by TMobile on my usage. Again, her line usage has her texts to me as outgoing.231Visto0likes4ComentariosCoverage - what is the plan for my area?
I've been suffering with very poor T-Mobile/Sprint coverage for years in Byron, MN. The cellspot T-Mobile sent me helps me make calls, get data and send text - using my wifi router to provide the connectivity. However, if I leave myhome, my cell phone coverage is very poor. My Verizon work cell phone works great! I've called T-Mobile customer service and have to use my Verizon cell phone to complete the calls! What is the plan to improve coverage in zip code55920 so I can use my cell service without being connected to my cellspot? I'm so frustrated that I am going to switch to Verizonif there is no plan to improve coverage.199Visto0likes11ComentariosKids Apple Watch SE no longer sending texts or able to make calls
As of Thursday, my kids apple watches have not been able to make phone calls and when attempting to text we get a message saying:Free Msg: Unable to send message, blocking is active. I've spent over 12 hours on the line with various customer service and tech people at T-mobile with no success, so essentially these are basically bricks, because the ENTIRE reason we bought these watches was so our kids could call us in an emergency. We have: updated with new sims updated software reset network connections checked to make sure no blocking is enabled disabled all screentime/downtime/schooltime blocks updated phone software reinstalled watch app says cellular is not connected And…nothing. I am so beyone frustrated. Has anyone had this problem and been able to fix it? One of the watches is a year old and worked until Thursday, the other is brand new as of Thursday. We have a Magenta plan.Solved199Visto0likes1Comentario
