As executive vice president and chief product officer at T-Mobile, Omar Tazi oversees product development, drives digital transformation, leads the wholesale business, and forges global alliances while spearheading new businesses.

Under his leadership, he and his team continue to push boundaries, delivering AI-enabled and digital-first customer experiences that reinforce T-Mobile as the best in the world at connecting customers to their world. This transformation is driven by T-Life, our lifestyle app, which is the epicenter for everything digital at T-Mobile.

Omar also leads T-Mobile’s pioneering work with SpaceX, leveraging satellite technology to solve the wireless industry’s biggest pain point — mobile dead zones. T-Mobile Starlink is the first and only space-based mobile network in the U.S., automatically connecting phones in areas that no cellular network reaches, a massive technical achievement and game changer for the industry.

A former member of T-Mobile US Board of Directors, Omar joined T-Mobile's senior leadership team in January 2023, after serving as chief product and innovation officer at Deutsche Telekom.

With more than 25 years of executive and entrepreneurial experience, Omar has held leadership roles at Oracle, Symantec, and Orange and founded successful ventures in fintech and e-commerce, both during and following his decade in Silicon Valley.

Omar holds an MS in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and has conducted advanced research and teaching in AI at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. He is also an alumnus of the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

He resides in Seattle, Washington with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and scuba diving.
