Pixel 8a isn't getting updates

    T-Mobile has no control. Over the updates for devices.  Those updates come directly from the manufacturer to your device.  What you might not realize is that updates are usually rolled out in a staggered release.  A small number of devices get the initial update, then more a couple of weeks later, then more a month later, and all remaining after 6 weeks.  This is to prevent bugs that slip through QA from impacting a lot or all devices.  

    The issue you mentioned  has some side effects.  The Pixel repair tool is okay but if you are still having issues connecting to the update servers.  You might want to consider a factory reset to eliminate any unforeseen side effects from that bugged update.  After a factory reset, do not restore anything during the setup.  Once the setup is complete, you can sync your contacts.
