Re: I don't have data in Mexico
I made all the possible settings. The automatic mode works sometimes, but to achieve seamless connectivity, I chose the manual mode selection for TELCEL. Network mode is not the issue. It's T-Mobile's $5 Roaming Plan and 5GB Data Cap Issue. I'm a technical person, so I went up to DNS Settings and Much more, but nothing worked.163Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Mexico-T-Mobile Mobile Data issue on S22 Ultra e-Sim
I visited Mexico City from November 10th to 15th, 2024, and encountered another issue with my T-Mobile service. At home in the U.S., I have a $40 prepaid plan with 10GB of data, of which I had already used 7.5GB before my trip. To prepare for international roaming, I added the $5 plan, which gives me 5GB of roaming data. Upon landing in Mexico, I manually selected the Telcel network (T-Mobile's roaming partner), and everything worked fine for the first two days. However, on the third day, I noticed that my mobile data stopped working, even though it was turned on. What's frustrating is that I couldn't reach customer service. Every time I tried to call 611 or local customer support, I received a "Conditional call forwarding active" message. I tried all the short codes(https://www.t-mobile.com/support/plans-features/self-service-short-codes), but nothing helped-I couldn't get through to anyone. The only calls I could make were to U.S. numbers, but not to T-Mobile support. After spending two days trying to get help from T-Mobile's prepaid customer service, I was told that if 75% of my U.S. data was used, they block international roaming. This was a surprise to me, but I found out that many others have faced this issue. Since my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra supports two eSIMs (though only one can be active at a time), I decided to buy an eSIM from Airalo instead of dealing with the hassle of visiting a Telcel store and trying to translate everything. I purchased a 5GB plan through their website, activated it using a QR code, and it worked seamlessly. Here's the breakdown of the eSIM purchase: Telcel eSIM Subtotal: $23.50 USD Discount: $2.35 USD (via an online coupon) Order Total: $21.15 USD Package: Chorro Fon 5GB - 30 Days When I returned to the U.S., my 5G data worked just like before. The takeaway: T-Mobile can stop your international roaming at any time, so it's a good idea to have a backup plan ready. https://www.reddit.com/r/TotalWireless/comments/1h02psa/currently_in_mexico_city_no_data_roaming/ https://www.reddit.com/r/digitalnomad/comments/x98f3x/tmobile_suddenly_disconnects_to_network_while/ https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/aidmgx/the_truth_about_mexicocanada_roaming/ https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/14zznid/mexico_roaming_status_terrible/ https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/zcc1tl/mexico_problems/ https://www.reddit.com/r/TotalWireless/comments/1h1hd31/data_in_mexico_not_working/ https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/3z6xpp/tmobile_not_working_in_mexico/ https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/1aqfl4r/headed_to_mexico_city_in_a_few_days_anyone_have/ https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/qhyw9n/using_tmobile_in_mexico/ https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/1dpbdl7/data_roaming_not_working_anymore/ https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/1gi11xy/mexico_service/ https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/1clzax7/mexico_roaming_on_5g/ https://travel.stackexchange.com/questions/185419/does-t-mobile-now-throttle-ones-internet-access-when-roaming10Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Mexico-T-Mobile Mobile Data issue on S22 Ultra e-Sim
I came to Mexico again on 30th July 2023. it was already recharged with a $5 Mexico Data Plan. 8 Days, it worked with 5G Data, and last 2 Days it Stopped. I called T Mobile Pre-paid Customer Care and they checked everything and asked me to Select the Telcel Network Manually and It started working again.34Visto0likes1ComentarioRe: Mexico-T-Mobile Mobile Data issue on S22 Ultra e-Sim
Hello Everyone; I came again to Mexico on 15th May 2023 and thought to give it another Chance on Tmobile USA e-SIM in Mexico. Removed my $15 International Calling Plan and Added $5 Mexico Plan Online, Message Came, and I first put the Phone in Airplane Mode and Restart the Mobile. After Restart, I turn off the Airplane Mode and enable the data with Data Roaming On and 😀WHOA😍..... I can see the LTE+ Option in the Network data. it's 4G Speed(32.8 Mbps download and 1.38 Mbps Upload), Checked in Speed test.102Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Mexico-T-Mobile Mobile Data issue on S22 Ultra e-Sim
Yes, I sent this thread to T Mobile Customer Service so that they can forward this to Technical Engineering Team. Unlocked Mobile, Simple Prepaid Plan(Not aMagenta One) The Final - Root Cause is in eSIM Code which is not compatible with Roaming Partner(TELCEL). where as Physicals SIM works Perfectly with USD$5 Add On.32Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Mexico-T-Mobile Mobile Data issue on S22 Ultra e-Sim
I went to Mexico last week and as soon as the Plane landed, I chose the network Telcel and the same issue repeated. I tried all possible ways. This time I changed the DNS, but nothing worked. VPN also didn't work. hence this Proves it's am eSIM Issue. Nebulo - DNS Changer for DNS o DNSChanger for IPv4/IPv6 I think T-Mobile must send One Technical Person to Mexico with a mobile phone who has eSIMs with Pre-Paid and Post-Paid and they can see the issue and resolve this instead then endless calls to Customer Service and each call spending 2-3 Hours when we know nothing can come out. https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/coverage-map24Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Mexico-T-Mobile Mobile Data issue on S22 Ultra e-Sim
