Improving Gateway signal
Live in a sgle floor condo- ground level. My gateway is place high on a bookshelf near a window (not directly in front of the window, but very close to it. Once in a while, I see 4 bars, but it quickly drops to 3 bars. Are there any hacks out there that anyone has had success with that can get me consistent 4-5 bars?
We do not currently have an expiration date for this plan, so it could go away at any time.
Gramps28 is correct that the price does not include taxes. You also want to note that the price is with autopay, so when you sign up you will need to sign up for autopay using a debit card or bank account.

If you check (also through Nater Tater), more of the 'SINR' values and RSRP values as well as channels using the App and 'More/Cellular Metrics' tab, you want to have LTE metrics on B2/B66 and SINR of 15 or higher. Approaching 20, you'll probably hit 'very good' on metrics. 5G on the other hand, metrics don't always show the same. Eg. I had n71 (extended range) SINR of 5 and LTE B66 of 23. This showed as 'excellent', speeds were ~250/60Mbps.
A reboot ‘fixed it’ and gave my B2 SINR 20, with 5G n41 SINR of 17 (slightly worse on LTE, much better on 5G). ‘bars’ show ‘Very Good’, speed ~600Mbps/76Mbps.
As above #1. Want ‘better’ service - try #2, #3 or possibly an external antenna.
Sugerencias:
- If your download speeds are acceptable, don’t worry about it.
- try rotating the gateway.
- try another room.
- seek out Nater Tater on YouTube.
