Internet CONSTANTLY drops

Anyone else having issues with the gateway? I have been having issues since before August with the internet dropping constantly and phone calls in the house constantly dropping. I work from home so this cannot happen. I have had multiple T-Mobile techs try to help. I have had a new gateway sent, we upgraded to the mesh, the reset the gateway, we even got a new sim card for the gateway. NOTHING is working. I have been seeing online that it has to do with the firmware update. This needs to be fixed ASAP. I don't know what else to do besides change providers!

If you have a TMobile g4SE device, I'd recommend contacting TMobile for a replacement. Ive had this issue with vpn specifically.   Traffic is hot/cold. The G4AR is better, nut it appears that i have to reboot every morning or vpn is throttled to 4Mbps vs +500Mbps.  This is not an issue with Spectrum,  only TMobile,  and since Oct 2

Following. Brand new customer this week, got tired of our DSL dropping every time it rained, or was infested with fire ants, field rats and other aspects of rural life. Claimed we were in the fastest 5g possible, which amazed me given how rural we are. Best spot I have found for my modem (sorry, gateway!) gets a solid 3 bars.

To go from erratic 20Mbps to over 700 at times BLEW MY MIND. The mesh unit got signal to our shop for the first time. Then the drops started. Only a few seconds each time, but it's 700 to zero and back. Our phones appear to go to data during this too.

Anything I should be trying or does it sound like we are on the service edge? Guessing the towers are on a mountain ridge I can clearly see from the house most days. Our new phones are getting 2 bars sitting 10 feet from the modem, but 4 bars across the house and away from the mesh node (but towards where i think the towers are).

  •      Im having the same issue. I get very bars, very good connection and very good speeds. In the past 3 days the signal has dropped probably 20-30 times at minimum. Its never down long, maybe a minute or two at the most, and comes right back with a very good signal and good speed.

If this persists ill have to look into Starlink as our home is in a weird spot and to far away from other providers service poles.

Yes, mine says excellent coverage as well as very fast internet speed. I was on the phone again with them and they are still telling me it's an issue with the towers and that the engineering team is working on it. It's been months of this issue and a week since they put the ticket is before. Now they are saying hopefully within a week it will be fixed! It drops every single day. The only way I can make or receive calls is by taking calls off of wifi.

So, they are telling me the same exact thing. It seems like a line they use to pacify people. How many towers are being worked on for that much time? I told them I'm giving them one more week and then I am canceling.  Very skeptical of issues all of a sudden when they want to eliminate lifetime price guarantee…

I said the exact same thing. We can't have this dropping while on work calls and meetings all the time. It's awful. Definitely seems like a line because I had 2 or 3 different techs say the same line. It is very frustrating. 1 week and that is it.

  • I have a short term rental in Miramar Beach, Fl, that is having exactly the same issues. Speeds are extremely slow and signal drops multiple times per day. I have no choice but to change providers.

  • Yes, that's why I came to the forum. Customer service tells me I should have excellent coverage at my house, but I can't get the signal better than poor here, and it drops at least once a week. I wish they could see on their end what I'm seeing, but customer service on the telephone just wants to find user error and make me keep going over the setup process.
