ftp
2 TopicsWith happiness, why has FTP started to work with T-Mobile home internet?
I've had T-Mobile home internet several months now. Having made it through severalissues I'm glad I stayed with T-Mobile. Because T-Mobile maps IPV4 over IPV6, FTP did not work. To use FTP I had to subscribe to a VPN, turn it on when FTP was needed then turn off again. I've been using NordVPN for that. However, just now I attempted some file transfers and they worked! All my FTP logins work without using the VPN. This is wonderful. So I'mwondering if anyone knows what changed. Was it T-Mobile? Was it something else? It isn't the FTP servers or protocols or the internet in general. I use multiple FTP servers. So it has to be T-Mobile.383Visto0likes2ComentariosNeed solution for T-Mobile blocking TCP
We have a coachmonitoring system that we need to transmit data to an off-site server. The gateway is connected via wifi, and the data is transmitted from the coach's dual-carrierrouter. The monitor works flawlessly when connected via AT&T's SIM. But, anytime we connect to T-Mobile, our preferred service, the data is blocked and we can no longer monitor our systems. I've been told the gateway uses a simple, old protocol of FTP and uses TCP port 8079. I have no idea how to fix this problem, but refuse to just quit out of ignorance.613Visto0likes4Comentarios
