Hello everyone, I put in a claim 1 week ago today for a replacement phone from Assurant, paying my deductible instantly via Debit Card. Has anyone else had to wait quite a while for Assurant to ship out phones, and I'm also wondering what T-mobile themselves might do in the way of a bill credit, since I'm not able to use the wireless service I'm paying for? Very frustrated considering I pay extra for P360.2.5KViews0likes7ComentariosAssurant Nightmare!!!! Stay Away from this company.
Ok I filed a claim for My iPhone 15 pro max. Paid the Deductible and sent back the damaged phone. Keep a photo of the tracking. All of a sudden an 800.00 charge shows up for Non-returned device. After Getting a T-Mobile rep on the phone they put me on a three way call with Assurant. Low and behold they did receive the phone!!!!The T-Mobile Rep. tells me they put a hold on my account to wait two billing cycles to remove it. (How cant they take it off right then and there is ridiculous) Then T-Mobile takes 414.00 out of my account two weeks later. After calling T-Mobile AGAIN and I was told the First rep didn't do what he was supposed to due and I would have to wait 18 days for T-mobile to reverse the charge. Funny how they can take my money and it takes 18 days to put it back. I then made sure I deleted all form of payment methods off my account to block any more shenanigan's from T-Mobile's Flunkeys. Now I have to wait till I can get return calls from T-Mobile to, I guess check that things are being fixed and my 414.00 is returned.Moral of the Story….DO NOT USE ASSURANT!!!!!!114Visto0likes0ComentariosHas anyone with 360 "protection" coverage been able to get their screen repaired through Assurant???
...or were you forced to pay the $99 deductible (plus taxes and fees) toREPLACE the phone (even though it did not need to be) because Assurant doesn't offer a repair location? What!!! If I can't get this rectified I will at a minimum be dropping their supposed "protection" plan and finding a third-party plan on my own, or I will just go back to Verizon.271Visto0likes2Comentariosassurant fraudsters
I have been dealing with this ordeal for 3 months. I certainly believe is a scam from Assurant. I filed a claim back in March for a device that broke, immediately after i returned my device. End of March received a message from assurant to send the device, called them they said that they received the device it wasnt scanned. Received a second message on April, called them same thing device was received not scanned , not to worry because they had it. At the end on May $579 charged on my account. I called them back again the device not scanned. I called them back yesterday to verify the status of my refund and now they say that they receive an empty package. i have tracking number and details from USPS where they handed the package to an individual at their location in York Pennsylvania. The internet is full of similar complaints. These insurance companies are scamming consumers. They charged you a monthly fee, they charged you a deductible and then they charge you more than the device is worth for a broken device. A device that was returned to the and they stated 3 previous times that they had on the warehouse but not scammed. T-Mobile should stop using this company. They are fraudster's. I will continue to complaint with FCC, Insurance Regulation and open a small claim suit. What you are all doing to the consumers is not legal. Your scam need to stop.1KViews5likes7ComentariosRevisa

I have paid for insurance protection on my phone for over 2 years. And a few days ago, I lost my phone. However, I felt relieved that I did have the phone insurance. So, when I filed the claim, I was told my phone was not covered. How can that be. I did switch phones a few months ago and still paid for insurance on the phone. Now, Assurant is telling me that I have the incorrect IME number. How can I have the incorrect number? I took the phone and had it activated on my number. So, why have I been paying insurance on a phone, and now being told it was not covered. Do I get a refund on all the monthly insurance payments? I only ask for what I paid for!63Visto0likes0Comentariosassurant insurance is a scam!
I can't even begin to tell the story because it is infuriating, but it isn't any different than the horrible experiences reported by so many others here and across the internet on what a lying, horrible, rip off scam assaurant is. They cost me so much in lost time and money and it's disgusting that T-Mobile would partner with such a gross business… and a terrible reflection on T-Mobile. I've been with T-Mobile EASILY OVER 10 years, during which time I've payed out hundreds, if not thousands of $ for insurance coverage and have *never* filed a claim. And the one time I do it was such a horrible process I ended up having to buy a new phone from T-Mobile anyway just so I can do my job! it is a disgusting scam. Shame on T-Mobile for lying to customers about assurant and basically coercingthem to use it as if there are no other options. Buyer beware. Take pictures of everything and save as much as you can. Even the reps who helped me get a new phone at the T-Mobile store told me the insurance is a scam!!!1KViews4likes1ComentarioBeing charged for phone after returning back to Assurant...
I had and Iphone XR that was damage and I send to Assurant to get a replacement. I got the replacement back. But UPS lost my return and now I getting charges $299.40 because they didn't receive the return + $100 deductible. Total of $400. Now is nothing I can do because when I found out that they didn't received my return I was already bill for it but I found out to late, I can't make a claim in UPS because more than 60 days already pass.I still have the receipt that UPS gave you when you go in and give them the package but is useless now. This all feels like a scam to me. I just want to put out there for people to be careful when sending a return phone. Looks like I'm not the only one, I see other post same as me.444Visto1like3ComentariosAssurant Insurance Complaint
Been dealing with Assurant and UPS since April 2024 and it has been a complete nightmare. First, the replacement phone they sent was not delivered by UPS, although UPS said it had been delivered. It may have indeed been delivered but not to my house as I waited all day for the delivery. I called Assurant to let them know that I had not received the phone and they filed a a UPS claims on my behalf as I was informed that the company would have to do it. The claim was closed as UPS said it was delivered with no back up information other than the standard delivery receipt. From what I was told by a UPS driver they are supposed to take a picture which I had not received. To make a long story short, I ended up having to purchase a new phone because of the run around. Now Assurant has withdrawn almost $400.00 from my accountthrough tmobile becaused the damage phone had not been returned. Tmobile says they cannot help me because it is dealing with assurant. It seems like I have reached a dead end. I have no replacement phone, out of pocket for the deductible, and a negative account. Looking for any advice/suggestions. ¡Gracias!200Visto0likes2ComentariosAbsolutely Terrible Experience with Assurant - Avoid Them at All Costs!
I recently dealt with Assurant, and I cannot express how utterly disappointed and frustrated I am with their abysmal customer service. My ordeal began when I needed a replacement phone, and it took a whopping ten days for Assurant to deliver it, turning what should have been a straightforward process into a never-ending nightmare. First and foremost, their customer service representatives were a nightmare. It was as if they had no regard for the fact that I had been without a functioning phone for a week and a half. I was met with incompetence, indifference, and a complete lack of urgency on their part. Basic customer service etiquette was an alien concept to them. But the horror didn't stop there. After receiving the replacement phone, I was slapped with a jaw-dropping $500+ "no return phone fee" on my T-Mobile bill, which Assurant was supposed to take care of after I returned the damaged device. Despite my return of the phone and multiple follow-ups, Assurant is forcing me to wait through not one but two billing cycles before removing this fee from my T-Mobile bill. This careless delay in resolving the issue cost me time, energy, and significant money. I am appalled by Assurant's utter disregard for their customers' time and peace of mind. They prioritize their bureaucratic processes over the needs and satisfaction of the people they serve. It's astounding that a company with such a terrible customer service track record can operate in today's market or serve T-Mobile customers. In conclusion, my experience with Assurant has been nothing short of a nightmare. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice and explore other options. Their poor customer service, excessive delays, and lack of accountability make them a company I will never ever deal with again. Save yourself the frustration and anguish, and avoid Assurant at all costs.4.4KViews13likes21Comentarios
