dropped calls
10 TopicsWhen merging calls on a forwarded line, original line drops
When I work from home, I forward my office desktop phone to my cell phone (iPhone 11). I can answer incoming calls from the forwarded office phone to my cell phone perfectly fine. However, when I use my iPhone to add a third caller onto the line, the original incoming call (from the forwarded office phone) drops, and I'm left on the line with myself and the 3rd, merged caller. However, the call doesn't display on my iPhone as dropped, but the original caller drops on their end and I can no longer hear them (but the display says I'm on a 3-way call). This doesn't happen every time I try to merge calls, but probably 90% of the time. I have one other coworker who has the issue, and they are also the only other ones on T-Mobile. It's incredibly frustrating, and support has been unhelpful. I even upgraded my iPhone, and the issue carried across. It's also happened across two different residences, so I don't think the phone or service location is the issue. ¿Tienes alguna idea?327Visto1like1ComentarioT-Mobile Home Internet shows 4 bars but keeps dropping signal
Hi. The last month or so, a problem is occurring - the gateway/modem shows 4 bars and has been sitting there for well over two years now. Randomly, I keep getting disconnected from a game server, remote sessions halt, streaming audio stutters, everything. I also have phone calls (from Samsung S22 Ultra) disconnect on me if the phone is using wifi mode for phone calls. If I disable wifi on the phone, phone calls still remain stable. At least for now. I sometimes still have issues with audio stuttering in regular 5G mode, and even testing a game server I got booted off with an error citing connection loss. Whatever it is, the loss is brief since connection comes back quickly. Speedtest shows low ping and low jitter, which surprised me. I logged into the Admin console. Is there an option to switch from 5G mode to 4G, just to rule out some possible causes of this? That sounds dumb since I have 4 bars on the modem and 5 on my phone (which generally connects to the modem's built-in wifi.) I haven't tested disabling 5G on the phone, but with 5 bars this really seems odd. Why would the phone show more bars and stronger signal strength when it's the smallerof the two devices? I turned the modem ("silver can" in shape) off and unplugged it for 30 minutes. I'd heard this forces a firmware check and upgrade. This did not make a difference. I keep a small fan running by the air inlet on the modem to help prevent overheating. That hasn't helped either. The built-in battery also seems to waver in percentage; always going from 65 to 78%. It used to read 100% in the past. I think that's a separate issue. I am having no power outage issues.Solved4.1KViews2likes20ComentariosWTH is going on with the service?
I keep getting dropped calls, no service, and undeliverable text messages. This is maddening. It happened before but cleared up a couple of weeks later. I'm so frustrated that I'm considering leaving the company. Is anyone else suddenly having these issues? BTW, I'm in Houston. thanks!2.2KViews0likes8ComentariosCoverage - what is the plan for my area?
I've been suffering with very poor T-Mobile/Sprint coverage for years in Byron, MN. The cellspot T-Mobile sent me helps me make calls, get data and send text - using my wifi router to provide the connectivity. However, if I leave myhome, my cell phone coverage is very poor. My Verizon work cell phone works great! I've called T-Mobile customer service and have to use my Verizon cell phone to complete the calls! What is the plan to improve coverage in zip code55920 so I can use my cell service without being connected to my cellspot? I'm so frustrated that I am going to switch to Verizonif there is no plan to improve coverage.217Visto0likes11ComentariosPort over from At&t temp number wont go away
We ported over a phone and number from At&t back in March of 2023 . It's now almost August and if I send 10 different text to someone, one or two of them will come from that temporary port in number . I'm also missing calls , dropping calls , have phone calls coming into my watch but the phone itself never rings . It's like the phone is bouncing back and forth between its actual number and the temporary port in number all day . I've called tmobile 3 times and stopped back in the store . I'm told the port in is completel, the phone shows the proper port in number in all the settings, they have reset diffrent settings and catches multiple times . Still does it . They told me to buy a tmobile phone instead of the At&t phone , we didn't need a new phone , but bought one anyway and it still does the same thing . We went back into the store and had the sim changed, still does the same thing . This particular line is a business line, so this is problematic. What can be done to fix this other than take my 5 lines to a diffrent carrier? Please help 🙏183Visto0likes2ComentariosDead zone wifi calls being dropped and slow data
I'm hoping with the work being done on my tower, we will be able to receive 5G at home and not constantly having to use wifi calling. I'm tired of customer support saying that the solution is to change the mobile network to 4G Lite while at home and use wifi calling. I'm sorry but that solution does not work. When using Wifi Calling, my calls would drop once or more depending on the day and while I am standing still in a spot in my garage that is probably the best place to make calls. To add to the situation, we also would receive text messages a day later or our message would not send and would sit there and receive messages saying that it is in the process of sending and the next day it would still be sitting there giving me the same message. I am hoping that they will improve the internet connection and not have it slow down at different times of the day. I would like to suggest that when customers are purchasing phones and adding T-Mobile's service that the Technician at the store would check to see if service will be available at the customer's residence. I was very disappointed after purchasing two new phones and moving our service to T-mobile only to find out that 5G service was unavailable where we live. 5G coverage would only be available if we drove out of our community. In addition what makes it worst is there is a cell tower that is ¼ of a mile away from our house.112Visto0likes1ComentarioData Connection - Phone Call - Text Message Issues - Help
Hello. I wanted to see if anyone could provide some advice. My family member and I are on the same T-Mobile plan. They have a newer iPhone - I have a Samsung. We live in different homes. Below are some of the issues we are having. These issues occur when we are home and we are out running errands etc. Phone Call Issues When trying to make a call out: Its dead air for a few seconds and goes directly to voicemail or rings once and goes to voicemail ( Happens intermittently ) Some calls will go through, some wont. It doesn't matter what type of service the person has that we are trying to call or what type of device they have ( Happens intermittently ) Who ever calls us goes directly to voicemail without any notification that we missed a phone call. ( Happens intermittently ) Text Issues Some text messages we try to send wont send at all ( Happens intermittently ) When others send texts to us, we often don't receive them or they are delayed and it takes hours before we receive them ( Happens intermittently ) Connection In General Any and all apps have a hard time loading ( Happens intermittently ) Any and all apps malfunction. They close with errors or freeze. ( Happens intermittently ) Messaging/video chat apps wont function properly ( Happens intermittently ) Performed Troubleshooting Restarted devices Disabled Wi-Fi Disabled Wi-Fi Calling Disabled Bluetooth Disabled and Enabled data connection Double checked any settings that could have been interfering with our connection Uninstalled any newly installed apps Double checked our Network Mode is set to the correct settings On the Samsung I did notice that the SIM card status for "Mobile Network State" says "Disconnected" (I'm not sure if that is important) Both devices are updated to the most current software The iPhone has been having this issue for the past month and a half The Samsung has been having these issues for over a year I have contacted tech support about the Samsung and they fixedsomething and the issues seemed to improve but over time the issues started back up and became worse. They did not disclose what they fixedor what to do in the event of the issues coming back I'm not sure what to do or what could be causing the issues. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Start off by saying TMobile sucks. Switched from Verizon Samsung S8 to Tmobile Samsung 20 5G. 1 ST WEEK. Minor network issues, just thought it was trying to see my usage. 2nd week, went back to Costco t-mobile hub for Failed to send text messages and slow!! Speeds. The reset network settings. 4th week. Returned back to Costco for same issues. They game me new Sim cards 6th week. Called t-mobile service, they said 5G doesn't work in Los Angeles, hmm. To switch to 4g. 6th week. Returnwd to Costco, they said 5g works in Los Angeles. Gave me 2 new phones. 7th week. Dead zones inside buildings. Dropped calls. No service calling out. At home wifi slow speeds. Kb data speeds. 8th week, called t-mobile, same thing they reset network settings and said they are "pushing" keys on their side. 9th week. T mobile does a factory reset, again. 10th week. T.mobile says the 5g has been down. 11th week. T mobile finally transfers me to Samsung service. Advise to take it to ibreakufix authorized repair shop. 12th week. The shop does a OS flash, but all my settings and pics and messages remain. Did they really Flash it or just do another factory reset 13th week. Every issue still exist. So freaking frustrating. My friends government phone, is faster and more reliable. My mom's bf cricket wireless is better. Just going to go back to Verizon. Wanted to see if it was a phone issue or network.
