port forwarding
19 TopicsNAT/forwarding issues while gaming/streaming
Hey guys, I'm new here... I just got my gateway in yesterday... I must say, I'm highly disappointed and I only wish I researched this further before I ordered it...I've already donemultiple searches on this topic, so I'm not gonna ask the question I've been wanting to ask which was: "Why isn't my connection open NAT?", or "Why can't I port forward?". I've pretty much answered all of those questions myself by simply searching. I have taken it upon myself to call T-mobile's tech support anyways in the event that somehow a miracle is sent my way.... Fortunately for me, a very kind gentleman by the name of Alex, employee number 786457, assured me that they will be fixing the problem within a 48 hour period. I was told there will be some Beta software sent to my unit "possibly". And yes, that was the word used... Not sure how far I can believe that, seeing as how a lot of you are having issues. But anyway, this is my journey. I will post some updates here n there to let y'all know the outcome. Worst case scenario this causes me to vacate the community & the service entirely. Because this is probably one of the largest handicaps any network can have, it's almost like having parental control without it actually being implemented. Stay tuned folks, I'll let you know what happens. Hopefully this "beta" program isn't bullcucky.6.3KViews2likes33ComentariosIsn't T-Mobile Fiber violating their own TOS with CGNAT
You are not permitted to use your Device or the Service in a way that we determine: Operates servers for commercial purposes, uses applications which automatically consume unreasonable amounts of available network capacity, or otherwise uses the Service or Device for purposes other than the personal residential use; That implies personal use is allowed, but CGNAT makes it so you can’t host a personal website, Minecraft server, etc. all personal non-commercial uses.89Visto0likes0ComentariosWhy is the Home Internet Gateway functionality crippled?
I have ArcadyanKVD21, and while I am thoroughly impressed with the speeds from the device on the T-Mobile 5G network, I am disgusted by the lack of any ability to properly manage & (more importantly)secure thisdevice. This trade between speed and security is insulting and offensive to me as a technologically adeptSecurity professional, andexacerbatedby the fact thatT-Mobile continues to fail when tasked with protecting user account PII data. The inability to perform certain key functions completely disappoints me. Below are the primary issues and concerns, which *MUST* be resolved to keep me as a customer: Cannot perform setup /administrativetasks via wired interface. Current (internal)web interface only offers a "basic" informational portal. Cannot completely disable (turn off) WiFi, (likely due to the above). What (few) administrative tasks that are available, requires:download &installation of a worthless"mobile app", which also requires the device be connected to the local WiFi network. Current administrative functions are limited to 3 tasks, changingthe:administrative password, WiFi password, orname of the WiFi SSID. T-Mobile Internet app losesany/allfunctionalitybeyond the local network. If the gateway is connected to the internet, and the device with the app is as well, then there should be no valid reason to require "local" access, especially if the next point is true… As this prevents a parental/guardianauthority from managing the device while travelingoroutside the home (at work). T-Mobile app does not permit multiple instances of the app to be logged in with the same account/credentials. (per T-Mobile technical rep) What absolutely perplexes me is that many (if not all) of these points DID NOT EXIST when I reviewed an earlydevice around one (1)yearago… So why "cripple" the functionality?!?1.1KViews6likes11ComentariosPort Forwarding on Business Internet
Got the FAST 5688W model router on business internet, paid extra for ipv4. I mentioned I need to port forward to the tech I spoke to and confirmed that the extra service supports port forwarding. How doI port forward? Whats the best way to go about it?127Visto0likes0ComentariosNAT (Forwarding) in T-Mobile Gateway
I recently signed up for T-Mobile internet, and I am VERY disappointed that I could not even forward NATtraffic to my home security system. I saw that this was discussed 7 months ago in a previous thread, and hope the developers will notice this. The speed is great, and the same as was advertised in the chat. I would like this issue to be resolved so that I don't need to continue with Optimum (Morris Broadband).66KViews13likes51Comentarios
