Incorrectly roaming
I am in the Washington State (in the town of Lynden) near the Canadian border. I have a T-Mobile mobile hotspot device I often use when I am working as I don’t have a set office. Even though I am in the USA, the device is incorrectly saying that I am roaming. I assume this is because I am too near the Canadian border and it is thinking I am in Canada. How can I fix this as I am concerned I’ll received a large data roaming charge even though I’m not actually roaming outside of the USA?

Have you turned off roaming?
This is a mobile hotspot device, there is only the power button to turn it on/off that I can also use to toggle see the wifi network name and password. I could not find any way to turn off roaming. Maybe this is a thing I can do through my T-Mobile account online though?
Try going into your Mytmobile account to check. If not there contact Tmobile support since this is basically a user to user forum with some tmobile moderation that don't have account access.

I have the same issue in Niagara Falls, NY. Close to the falls, my phone will sometimes pick up a Canadian roaming partner. My plan includes Canada and Mexico though so it doesn't cost me any extra.
