How do I separate son’s line from my account to create his own account?
You need to do a change of responsibility and have your son take ownership of the line.

or you give his account permission to be removed from the account. then he transfers himself to his own account. the PAH (Primary Account Holder=you) just needs to give permission for this to happen.
